    That's the way to play it. If the villain is a straight-forward player or a rock who wouldn't slowplay the flop and then go for a check-raise on the turn with the straight, then sometimes betting pot can get them to fold their 2 pair/set hands. But against most opponents a check behind is the best play.

    The river a call is good, since a raise is about 99% -EV. If he is betting a small flush, he probably won't call a raise. If he has the A flush or straight flush you will just get repopped and have to fold.

    OK, Im really not concerned about this big pots right now I am more concerend about these pots that end up being 40-50bbs.

    Yeah, a big part of good play is keeping the pot small with lukewarm hands (such as OESD+2nd nut flush draw). Being in position helps a ton to accomplish this.
