Where Do You Find The Most Bad Beats Happen?

    Default Where Do You Find The Most Bad Beats Happen?

    For me, it has been on FTP while grinding Super Turbo SNGs NL HE. The Beats are retarrrrrrrded. Aside from the regular high variance that comes with these coin toss like games where poker is reduced to shoving or folding pre flop it seems that bad beats (AA AK AQ JJ QQ etc etc etc) beaten by the MOST retarded hands T6o 94s and more often than not by the person with the big stack. Also I see an insane amount of sets being completed by the river card and ONLY the river card for some reason. Conspiracies aside, I have played several thousand of these games and the trends I am seeing contradict what I would expect from a random card generator. It hardly seems random at all.....


    Thoughts and contributions?

    It really depends on how you define a bad beat

    EG

    (You're the hero)

    Hero has 44 (eg clubs and spades)
    Vill has 10 9 suited (hearts)

    You lose the race both being all in preflop. Have you just suffered a bad beat?

    What's really funny is I got berated for like 20 minutes yesterday for beating 44 with AQ. he said he took a very very bad beat... (I kid you not. I think he was russian or something)

    I find I have the most bad beats at pokerstars, because that's where I play the most poker.

    I too found that the most occur at pokerstars.

    I think it may also, completely coincidentally, be the biggest poker room.

    May I refer you all to my above post.

    No one has explained to me what defines a bad beat.

    OK
    sb open shoves with 7 2
    bb calls and turns over AA

    7 2 wins. Is that a bad beat?

    What are you all saying a bad beat is, because I think what people say is a bad beat sometimes really is not.
