Default JTo 3b pot in position

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($54.60)
    MP ($50)
    CO ($50.75)
    Hero (Button) ($51.65)
    SB ($86.30)
    BB ($29)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, J
3 folds, Hero bets $1.75, SB raises to $5, 1 fold, Hero calls $3.25

    Flop: ($10.50) 3, 10, 9 (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks

    Turn: ($10.50) Q (2 players)
SB bets $5, Hero raises to $13, SB calls $8

    River: ($36.50) 2 (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks

    Total pot: $36.50 | Rake: $1.80

Villain is 55/27/1.1 w/ 11.8 3bet. He's 3bet 5 times at this table that I've seen and people were giving him respect. I folded once as the initial raiser to his 3bet. His reraise sizing has been small in and out of position, but even smaller in position.

Fold preflop? Bet flop? Flat turn? Bet river?

I don't really get this at all, are you bluffing?

Preflop is meh I'd likely bet the flop.

Good point, so what would you think I had after the turn if you were villain?

lol now that I see this it seems so much better to bet the flop. The reason I posted was that I saw this hand while reviewing my session and thought "what the hell was I trying to do?" It doesn't really feel like a bluff but it effectively is one.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

    Preflop is definitely meh.

Flop is fine, I don't mind the check back here sometimes.

Turn, I don't get? Value or bluff? Or some fancy pot control play where you're raising the turn so you can check back the river for cheap instead of facing a bet?

ahahahahaha thanks, I'll remember this forever. I understand why it's bad but is it really that bad? I mean is it that bad just because it's so obviously bad or is it terrible because it's actually hugely unprofitable? Maybe it's both...

Would you mind helping the worse player in history with his worst played hand ever?

preflop is probably a fold but i wouldnt dwell on that.
flop seems like a really easy b/f around half pot for value/protection
turn...? The only hand this bet in isolation is good against is AJ. This guy isn't folding any better hand on this street or calling with any other worse hands, or 3betting you as a bluff. the only way it could be good is if you had a read that he would fold a better 1 pair hand to an overbet jam on a blank. Then you checked a blank river. All cards that aren't blanks improve your hand so your turn raise doesn't really set up anything potentially profitable on the river unless you are planning to bluff on any card.

Really? What are the merits of checking the flop because betting just looks vastly better to me now.
