How is the 6max game at absolute?
I kept avoiding absolute because of hte lack of full tables, but now that I'm hooked on 6max absolute seems like a likely shot for me.
Any tips on playing at absolute?
I believe it comes down to "withdraw on mon/tuesday to be ready for the weekend deposit bonuses?
I don't play at Absolute for a variety of reasons anymore, and when I played there I rarely played 6-max. I am now at a Party affiliate because (in no particular order):
1. Softer games.
2. Poker Tracker auto-import and data mining.
3. Softer games.
4. I am actually able to get reconnected if I have a blip in my internet connection (I have to close the table and reopen it at AP, and by the time I realize what's happened, I'm usually booted from the table).
5. Softer games.
6. AP tables don't play nice with other tables. I can't explain exactly what I mean here, but I just know I get aggravated with the Absolute table demanding my attention when I need to act on another site's table. I have similar problems with Pokerroom tables.
7. Softer games.
I think Absolute is a great place to play if you are playing relatively low limits, since you can amass a lot of $0.25 raked hands at 1/2 or even .5/1, and the $10/100 raked hands bonus amounts to almost 5 or 10 BB/100 hands at those levels, so it's huge +EV. Once you get up to 5/10, it's only 1 BB/100, so the softness of the game starts to play a big role. Over 15K hands at AP, my earn rate was over 1 BB/100 lower at AP than it has been over 10K hands at Party. <edit> I know this is hardly statistically significant, but it agrees with the general feeling I have had playing at the two sites. </edit>
I think Absolute is the best site for NL, because of the blinds to buy-in ratio. You can play a lot tighter there than you can at Party.
