Default WW micro game sign up

If 9 people are interested, I will mod a game ASAP.
(Do not sign IN for my game if it will prevent you from signing in for Ong's upcoming game.)
EDIT: Ignore the blue, see Ong's post below for reason.

Format: No theme, no pics, no write-ups
    9 players: 2 W / 1 Seer, 6 VV

Game days will last 48 hours, with Sat/Sun counting as 1 day.
I.e. if day was Fri-Sat, it will be Fri-Sun. If night is on Sat, it will be Sat/Sun.

There's an 8 hour time difference between GMT and the Pacific Coast.
    I.e. EOD in England @ 11:00 p.m. is 3:00 p.m. on the west coast.
This is the time I assume will be optimal for EOD.

If this time is bad for your schedule, please let me know when you sign IN, and I'll see what I can do.

    Ignore me, I'll wait.

I'll give this game a miss. Put me on the subs list in case bigred signs up and does fuck all.

    Timing? or format?

Should I offer up the Carnage revamp?

It's timing for me. Last WW took a lot out of me and demanded a lot of attention. I don't have the time or ability to pay as much attention until, I don't know. My brain is still fried from owning Ong.
That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

timing probably in that the last game took lots out of everybody

format for me personally in that i dont like a wolf team of 2 players

No apologies necessary. I only want to know whether the low turnout is something I can address.

If people are busy or worn out, then that's fine.

If people want something that I'm not offering, then they should speak up.

I think the last game took it out of most of us. If you get to 8 and are struggling for one more, I'll play, but I'll be making up the numbers and will probably only log on once a day.

we need a way to get a continual cycle of new players. i think that means having bigger, less frequent games, where we can advertise them in the poker forums as well as somehow get players from other forums. baud did a tremendous amount by bringing in several guys from other forums

anyways, ftr ww as been dying for a while now. if we want to keep it alive something has to be done

Next game, we'll reach out to the commune. A big push by all of the standard players. That should add 1-2 players imo.

And we'll lynch Wuf the first day just to show the commune how much fun WW can be.

that would actually be best since it would mean the wolves would win, and if there are any nubs on the wolf team, it would probably make them more likely to come back

    good plan mr boog

last game broke me a little. i had to try really hard. a break from werewolf is the reason i'm not signing up to this one! if it starts in a couple of weeks i'll likely be in.
also - kickstarter for werewolf lol https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ol/description

Someone was telling me about this awesome "Battlestar Gallactica" game he and his friends played.
It was WW repurposed in a box.

I've seen a youtube video of a roomfull of people playing a total noob turbo game of WW, which had some minimal props (like the cards in your link).

WW is fun. Put it in a box -> still fun.

I don't see why you need a kickstarter for it. If they market it right (whatever that would amount to) it could catch on... inasmuch as table games catch on.

awesome and battlestar galactica shall never be used in the same sentence

unless it's "hey brah how awesome would it be if those mouthbreathers never made battlestar galactica in the first place?"

His "awesome" sentiment, not mine. He was excited to talk about it with someone who is a gamer.

I would say Edward James Olmos was moderately to fairly awesome. If I watch it again it will be to re-examine his performance.

I think it was a decent serial drama with some remarkable acting performances all around the cast. I don't know if it was as "edgy" as people made it out to be, but it was far more blatantly adult-themed than most sci-fi.

Busy right now. I'd rather leave it a while then have a big game.

Also I've now started watching battlestar galactica, werewolf forum is putting me on a good run of shows.

The next game thread should be in the commune. As a spectacle to bring in some new blood.

Have a mechanic where spectators can be involved. A vote, a day kill, something to encourage posting in it. We want the game to be a smaller thread too

Yeah. I should officially say that this is no longer a sign-up thread. I really gave up hope weeks ago.

Does anyone have a game ready?

I'm kind of busy with other things right now and as much as I love modding, I would prefer to simply play in this one.

My vote is to revamp World War Werewolf.

It was my first game and a ton of fun.

Not sure but let's think of a game that somehow integrates "outside involvement." Wuf had a good idea here:

Also, it obviously needs to be simple enough for the commune people to understand. We all know how simple those that post in the commune can be.

Really good idea about a Commune game thread... I'm glad wuf came up with it.

Any brainstorming on a mechanic that would work for observer involvement would be much appreciated.

I think something like letting the observers control the dayvigs is my best idea so far.
I would have no dayvig on D1... let them shoot once on D2 and again on D3.
It gives them real power and involvement.

A slightly softer version would be to let them choose who gets the dayvig power... the "Amazons" MURCAN gun delivery mechanic.

It's hard to limit post counts without penalizing only a few players. I.e. baudib, ong and wuf as they are always high volume posters.

I thought about a "No double posting" rule... which means that you may not post twice in a row - back to back.

It's weak, though and not good for the game where players are playing from different time zones.
