Default $6.50 Turbo. QQ hits 3 of a kind.

Whats your move on the flop? 1st hand so no reads on anyone. with 3 others seeing the flop I think we need to bet as it's likely someone will be drawing to a flush/straight. How would you play it?

I would bet about 300. Smaller pocket pairs and flush draws will most probably call and you might get a loose call/float from AT+, especially if they have the Ace of spades.

If you check, then you are hoping the CO or BTN takes a stab with air or a A high/smaller pocket pair type hand which is not that likely with 4 in the pot. The turn will not look any better for you getting value unless an A or K falls and could look a lot worse if its the Ace or King of spades or a lower spade.

I would not check vs 4 opponents, I like Linaker's line

I agree, I would bet about 300 here in a four way pot.

what reasons do you have for considering a check?
  6. #6
I didn't consider a check. I just asked how others would play it, if they played it differently. I actually did bet 300 on the flop and took the pot down. was curious if anyone played it any different.

heres te hand as it played out...

yeah we all kinda guessed. Work on being results indifferent.

i wasnt being results orientated. I've been out for a while and wated aline check and to see, maybe if anyone played it differently!!

I put the chances of you posting this hand if you had felted AQ at somewhere between 0 and 0.0003%. I'm unclear what you would learn from people playing it differently, except that you should never ever listen to those people. this is not at all a close decision. I also don't believe you're so rusty you were not sure what to do here.

If you had 75 of hearts or A4 we could talk.

I'm not trying to be a troll, I'm trying to help you get something out of this post and "bet top set 4 way on a drawy board" is not going to help your game. Make the right play and don't worry about what happens next.

You weren't checking this hand now or ever just like you said, but if you're even a taste worried that you played this bad you're probably making really weak plays in the hands you're not posting based on negative emotional feedback - over betting good hands and missing value bets are the usual suspects . The sooner you start working on that the better.

I guess it wasnt the right hand to post, your right. I think that because I've been out for a while I was maybe just overly eager to post a hand lol.

thanks though, I guess I needed that lol

Maybe it was the right hand to post... because as a result you got this feedback.... which I'm sure could be useful.
