I was going to wait until other people voted, but I agree with this. It's close, but I'm pretty sure it's slightly -EV for village for in-game reveals on identities. The wolves obviously know who each other are from wolf chat, and being able to discern the stronger players left alive through process of elimination is going to help them in determining night kills.

The normal value in knowing who's who is low. In a game where we have to guess, it moves from low to non-existent. At least if we know roles upon death, we get added enjoyment in seeing how different the picks are in a game where only a small handful of players are obvious based on style

I think it's fair to everyone that everyone plays by the same anonymous rules. Villagers cannot say who they are, and neither can the wolves. Wolves are aware of this.

Glad I got modkilled. I was really not feeling this game with Duck outing me so early, plus Drew made a mistake in clarifying something that would effectively clear me. That kinda ruined it as either A.) my bandwagon would still be hot and heavy and the discussion would break down into rules technicalities or B. the wolves would be forced to nom me really early even though I was looking like mislynch bait.

Snap votes are necessary tools to elicit reaction, as is name calling, etc. And what one doesn't say is equally important to what one does say. But I don't see the relevance of a lot of rambling and chest bumping. But it's also important to go fishing, aka testing the waters, when the opportunity calls. And in this game there's a fine balance between too much/too soon & too little/too late. As stated in the last game, wolves tend to lay low early. It's my strategy to pay more attention early on to the quiet ones and let the talkers do their thing. After some time passes, you can then read more into each side of the spectrum. That said, I try not to waste my vote on people who are simply behaving instinctively.
