If the poll was "who is prettier in a broad sense, not who you would like to bang?" the poll probably would have flipped. #1 is merely a sexier pose and will garner more appreciation from men on that alone

I think there are some interesting visual tricks going on here. There is a lot about #1 framing that looks sexier despite the potential that #2 girl might be prettier (or even hotter altogether)

For example, #1 has a fuller figure shot with visual shoulders and torso form, sexier head tilt, darker eyes and looking down, partially hidden (secretive) face by the hair

#2 doesn't have any of that. Her figure is far more vague, the diagonal head tilt with chin up usually doesn't appeal as well sexually, but she does look more picturesque in a purely pretty way

If we were to flip the photography craft to make #2 present herself sexier while #1 presents herself prettier, the results may just be the opposite. Most of what goes into how humans feel about what we see is not conscious, but subliminal and responsive automatically. Something as simple as pursed lips or a grin can have a big impact on how viewers describe the subjects

Before reading any of the responses -- I have an immediate attraction to girl 1, and she does look less "made-up" than the second girl, which is a big plus. However, asking myself the question which would I rather make out with, 2 wins by a not insignificant margin.

maybe "make out with" is an odd choice of words, I mean having close physical contact without actually fucking. Cuz I'd be the homo not to want to fuck #1.

re Wuf's post going through the merits of the pictures and shit, that is pretty much true but I like to think that when asked to judge which one is "prettier" or "sexier", then most people build up a three-dimensional image of said women in their mind anyway, so that the angle in the picture becomes less important. The problem is how much the pictures actually reveal in terms of how good that image in our minds is. Does that make sense to anyone?
