I don't have a stats program but the villain is a decent player that plays correct hands. Gets attached to some hands especially TPTK. About 15 hands ago, I had top pair average kicker and led from the flop. Two fives came up on the turn and river and on the river he shoved me. I folded so I didn't get to see what he was holding. That affected my decision not to bet on the river. Any tips on how I should have played the hand better?

I chicken out on the river bet a lot generally as well. Any advice?
