Default Two hands from this morning

These both played out at the same table within a couple hands of each other.

1st hand: no real read on villain, only had 10-15 hands with him. His numbers in that tiny stretch were hardly eye-popping. He might have been running very slightly laggy, 30/20-ish.

    Hero ($48.45)
    SB ($48.95)

Preflop: Hero is Button with :Kh: :Ks:.
1 fold, MP raises to $1.75, 1 fold, Hero raises to $5.5, 2 folds, MP calls $3.75.

Flop: ($11.75) :Js: :Qd: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $10, MP raises to $40.85 (All-In), Hero calls $30.85.

    Final Pot: $93.45

2nd hand: played with this new villain before at some point but not for long. He's kind of tight and rather passive. He hesitated briefly before making his turn bet, then for about 5 seconds before calling the raise.

Hand 1: Standard felt, I'm not pumping my fist though.
Hand 2: I do this to myself every now and then as well. I'm thinking he's got an Ace he's not sure of. AJ would be so sick. As bluffy as raising the flop looks, at least your follow-up would have implied threat for all of the money. VERY curious how this hand turned out as I've been putting a lot of work into when, how and where I apply pressure.

I'll revisit this with the outcome(s) after a few more responses. Fnord - I agree that #1 is a pretty standard felt; I included it partly for an idea of my table image for hand #2. Without giving everything away there, I'll say that I lost that hand (either because I was behind or because he sucked out) and for hand #2, I had a larger stack because I realized I was on a deep stack table and reloaded to the max.

hand 1: pretty well played, you'd have to be very unlucky if you lost that... i can definitely see i having AQ or aybe even KQs

hand 2: I'd call with a strong A if I was villain... doesn't look like the J helped anyone, more like you're repping AK, AJ or a set

    2) Not sure what to think here. I just hate the turn raise tbh, and hate the river bet even more. So Id either raise the flop since I do that alot to donk bets (and u prolly take it down with the best hand anyway) or call flop and fold turn
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

Hand #1: I hate these spots because you're coinflipping against his range. But you have to call. Nutsinho, when you check the flop do you call two barrells if the board blanks out? Do you call if he crai on turn?

Hand #2: It's not a donk bet guys, it's the PFR c-betting. He could have any ace (or a high PP) and I don't think he's folding often enough. If he's passive he's likely not 2 barreling, I like calling the flop folding the turn here. But I don't like these spots and would like to know the ideal way to deal with them. Everytime I try what you did I get owned by AK or QQ or something like that.

Hand 2, they are c-bets but theyre very donkishly sized...generally the wrong type of guy to try and push off an ace w/o more of a read. Also the turn raise is too small, he has to call 5 into a pot of $11. If you pop it up to 9 or 10, your threatening his whole stack easily, since he is only 70BB deep.

On the second hand, my logic goes like this: flop is a fairly standard float/possible value call, which I do against a lot of weaker players when I have position and a medium pair with just one over on the board (even though it's an ace - there's a chance it scares him as much as me). On the turn his hesitation and weak bet tells me he wants a cheap showdown for whatever he has (weak ace? pair lower than AA?) and I feel obligated to not give it to him. I make a standard raise for me in this spot planning to 2nd barrel if he calls. River is the planned follow-through bluff, and I also don't mind that the jack paired and he checked - he probably didn't connect with it in the first place, so even if he doesn't fear the ace like I'm hoping, he might fear the trip jacks. Idunno. I actually have a good success rate with this exact line against this specific type of player, as well as weaker TAggs. It often ends up being really profitable when they call the turn and then give up on the river, but that means the river bet has to be healthy, and it helps if the last card off is a scary one.

Finally, I like the fact that I recently showed down a strong hand (good table image for this kind of bluff) but maybe don't like that I took a bad beat on it (he might read me as steaming). That is, assuming he pays attention at all, which I don't know.

    Anyway - outcomes in white:

Hand 1 - he had AQ and spiked a queen to beat me. What can ya do.

Hand 2 - he hesitated a long time and eventually called me with KK. Rrrrr. I don't know if he soul-read me or was just stubborn and not that good.
