Default Tough bluff catcher vs fish

Guy is a fish who opens basically every button. He has been checking behind about 45% of the time on the flop, folding to nearly every turn bet. So I have been leading a shitload of made hands and good air.

He has basically been folding a lot to the leads but everytime he has flatted the flop he has bet the turn to a check. He has also raised flop a few times to the flop leads, and once folded to a flop 3bet.

If you think he's a weak player, then you probably shouldn't give him credit for turning sd value into a bluff on the river, at least until he gives you reason to think otherwise. A fish will also typically overestimate his sd value with weak made hands in this spot.

    So fold imo.

he doesnt play the way u think he plays
however, flop is good, tho cr is nearly as good

You sound like you've played him before but I assure you the little I have described about his play is how he plays.

I like the flop lead. I would lead the turn again, because a ton of hands will call the turn that will likely check back if you check. The only worse hands I can imagine b/c turn are KQ and Kxss.

River I would c/f, gotta figure Qx+pair makes up a decent part of his turn b/c range.

nah thats kind of inaccurate, ive played him a bunch. i just mean classic as in you take things he does which are mostly true, and think he does them always

he tends to bet flop with a range of TP+, overcards, some random bets with draws/weaker pairs and air and only fold the air to a CR which is why CR is good. if you check to him on the turn he will bet the overs and the TP+ so unless you have a draw c/r c/r is good but betting is almost as good

he folds to turn leads prob 60% after flop chk chk, but certainly not always. however leading turn with air is def profitable and dbling reasonable rivers

also vs flop leads he will almost always slowplay on dry boards and bluffraise somewhat often so betting to induce a raise is strong on Axy and xxy boards. betting on draw heavier boards is good because he checks back quite often with a lot of bluffcatchers and hes a station so we want to force money in the pot

Okay I see what your saying, I tend to over adjust to peoples play based on a small sample of results.

There are many hands that this player could get to the river with that are not Q's... why is the river an instamuck? It's as clear as day to anyone, including his opponent im sure, that he can rep the Q here.

just that hes paralyzed by having a hand like 2pair or a good one pair and just wont ever bluff with absolute hand strength that strong imo

+ he has a ton of queens in his range, +hes not a high freq river bluffer which leaves the 2 FDs which i think just doesnt make up enough of his range in a pot this large

Results: I folded and the guy snap sat out and left, which really makes me think he was bluffing.

I only thought it was close was because I'm not sure if he shoves rather than bets 1/2 to 3/4ths pot with a straight.
