    Default spot against strange player

The villain in this hand is an Italian regular. For anyone who hasn't played any of the decent italian player on ftp, they play really Fing weird. This guy is no exception. However, i've played with him a lot and he actually plays pretty well. This may not be relevant, his postflop game is a lot of small ball betting but he'll triple barrel bluff. He also 3bets a lot but kinda linear and is very capable of 4bet bluffing.

The limper here is a fish who im not terribly sure about the way he's playing but i think he's weak passive. Which just makes this even weirder. But my raise is somewhat strong and he's gotta expect a regular to think his raise is full of shit which is exactly why i think it isn't.

    Anyway... maybe i'm retarded.

Wow that's ridiculous. I honestly don't think I have seen this line in my life ever.

I think your raise looks about as strong as any oop squeeze. Button limp is very weak so lot of dead money out there. That said I have no idea why he would play a big hand like this. I don't see the point in a 4bet, and calling oop doesn't seem good either. Guess that leaves us with fold?

So this guy is actually a good player despite preflop tendencies? I'd fold if thats the case. I mean I limp the button occasionally but not ever with a strong hand.

Schlaubart and... well i may as well say who this player was. It is Shortput. According to ptr they are both 3ptbb/100 winners. I've played with both a good amount they are definitely good poker players just weird styles. Do you disagree?

schlaubart is german and breakeven for the last year...

haven't logged many hands with Shortput since I'm not in the habit of grinding at 4am, but I don't think he is a huge winner as of late, similar to schlaubart. And I'll never admit anyone that plays like marmotta is good fwiw.

Shortput is much better than marmotta, marmotta is wayyyy too fpsy.

If shortput was a name player and his graph looked like that we'd just be saying he's "on a sick breakeven stretch." I've played with him a lot he's definitely good.

Anyways, given that you've played with him too what is your opinion on the hand?

i know you said it was a misclick, but I'd make it like 55 pre. As played I'd fold... this is too goofy and when people do really goofy shit, they usually have the goods.

This is a bit similar to the situatuion when you are in the small blind and raise after some limpers. If BB reraise you there, you have to be really cautios. You will be oop postflop, and villain's reraise show real strenght.

I think a fold is not bad here.

Otherwise I do not like to play against the Italian postflop style either.
