    1. Hard to articulate why but I want to raise the flop here. I feel like the hand just plays out better for us that way. On the river, the 6H takes away a ton of the backdoor possibilities for you so you can't rep as many flushes. I'm not sure you would or could raise trips like this so I guess i'm not that crazy about the bluff. You can virtually never have a boat.

    2. Is this backward heads up on a busto site? Hate the flop call. There are myriad better floats than this hand, just give it up. I prefer to run a mississippi bluff like this vs a capped range. It's quite plausible that he has a jack so I'm not a fan of dumping a stack to him every time that this is the case.

    3. Depends what you mean by whale. If there's a good chance the whale doesn't fold a queen then i hate it. Otherwise it seems like a mandatory bluff.

    4. There's nothing outside of your apparently very close cropped reads on a super monkey lagtard donator that would compel you to 3-bet the flop. I'm not sure what we can offer you on this one.

    1. I think given river sizing, and board run out we can even just call this river. As played, based on villains sizing I don't hate your river c/r.

    2. Again, villains sizing doesn't feel very strong to me here, but I really don't like this particular hand as our float. Would rather have some overs+BDFD or something. Given I don't expect Jx to fold here, and that villain could be trapping with a strong Jx looking weak (smaller sizing), I don't love it.

    3. Like it. Would probably bet river a bit harder to not tempt Qx.

    4. Really don't like it vs an UTG open who can have a lot of PPs. Especially don't like it after he choosing this sizing to raise to.

hand 2. it's just when I play hu I go by feel, which I can't fully quantify in a post. Surely it shouldn't be too much to ask to have at least a little bit of equity. I'm drawing to straights though

hand 4. this hand is out of control and it's not even funny. Didn't post it to ask for help or to offer strategic advice. I posted it only because it happened. I personally prefer a call pre.

In 4 you should have c/c or c/r instead of betting if you anticipated getting raised a lot.

Yeah I hear that. I felt like he could call with worse tbh and I didn't think of the shove as a bluff as such. He did end up calling with A2o and holding.

This guy whooped my ass so bad it still leaks a little blood when I turn in bed at night:

    SB ($216)
    BB ($227)
    UTG ($227)
    Hero ($200)
    CO ($214)
    BTN ($402)
    Dealt to Hero 9 J
fold, Hero raises to $6, CO raises to $18, BTN calls $18, fold, fold, Hero raises to $70, fold, BTN calls $52
    FLOP ($161) 4 A 3
Hero bets $69, BTN raises to $332 (AI), Hero calls $61 (AI)
    BTN shows J K
    TURN ($421) 4 A 3 7
    RIVER ($421) 4 A 3 7 3

    Still same guy:

    SB ($222)
    Hero ($404)
    UTG ($200)
    UTG+1 ($275)
    CO ($281)
    BTN ($314)
    Dealt to Hero Q K
fold, UTG+1 raises to $6, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $4
    FLOP ($13) J 4 9
    Hero checks, UTG+1 checks
    TURN ($13) J 4 9 4
    Hero checks, UTG+1 checks
    RIVER ($13) J 4 9 4 5
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $13, Hero raises to $54, UTG+1 raises to $175, Hero?

How can I fold against obvious fives after all the shit he just pulled on me? I should have bet turn or flop here btw. Moronic fancy play vs this idiot. Idiot vs idiot, clearly.

I did bust him in the end, but the trauma from these hands might never heal...

This villain was completely unknown to me when I played the J9dd hand.

J9dd hand, you called his AI raise to see hand and for future spot or because you think you still have enogh equity or considered its now a small price to pay so that you cam stack villain in future spots loke this lettimg him see your spew?
All posts are just my own opinion about a hand or a general situation... not advices on how you should play...

J9dd - shouldn't you just shove, if you're going to b/c? Though I feel like b/c is pretty thin here?

    KQcc - snap calling.

I'm not exactly going fold with 60 behind on this board, so doubt it matters too much, but yeah I guess.

I think my equity is probably not quite there but pretty close with bd diamonds, bd wheel chop and only 15% needed (I had 17,6% against his actual hand). Def chance he shoves worse with straight or flush draws, or even two random cards for all I know. I've got 35% vs random hand (not that it's very relevant), 28% vs eights and 5.5% vs aces. The info has to be worth a few dollars as well and I can't really show people that I like to put in 70% of my stack and then fold flops.

The J9 hand looks like tilt from the fact that you 4-bet the hand at all. Seems like a clear call of the 3-bet. And yeah you definitely should have pushed the flop or c/f. Betting half your stack was the worst of all options.

It seems like you played right into the guys hands to a point where it became not so incorrect for him to do things like raise-getting in A2o high on the flop. It would have been better for you to nit it up a bit and just thin value him to death.

edit: looks like you didn't know the guy during the J9 hand. Regardless what were you thinking jacking it up to 70 with 200 behind?

Correction I knew he was a loose fish but didn't know about his crazy tendences. Was a gameflow thing, just felt like the 3bettor was likely light. Besides I cherish my madman image, pretty good at hitting the brakes at the right time.

This fish wasn't a complete station though, so value betting wasn't going to cut it. Just had to let him bluff instead:

    SB ($200)
    Hero ($219)
    UTG ($261)
    CO ($433)
    BTN ($665)
    Dealt to Hero A 9
UTG raises to $6, fold, BTN calls $6, fold, Hero calls $4
    FLOP ($19) J 3 7
Hero checks, UTG bets $12.66, BTN folds, Hero calls $12.66
    TURN ($44.32) J 3 7 3
Hero checks, UTG bets $33.24, Hero calls $33.24
    RIVER ($110) J 3 7 3 A
Hero checks, UTG bets $110, Hero calls $110
    UTG shows K T

This guy was clearly in a huge hurry to donate his moneys, so patience and waiting for hands wasn't something I could afford.

Same villain teaches you proper defence of blind vs UTG open:

    SB ($475)
    BB ($362)
    UTG ($378)
    CO ($553)
    Hero ($250)
UTG raises to $7, fold, fold, fold, BB calls $5
    FLOP ($15) 4 9 8
BB checks, UTG bets $12, BB calls $12
    TURN ($39) 4 9 8 4
BB bets $29.25, UTG calls $29.25
    RIVER ($97.50) 4 9 8 4 A
BB bets $97.50, UTG calls $97.50
    BB shows 7 J
    UTG shows J J

A9o - Don't mind the c/c with A high down, though I'd much prefer it vs a btn open than utg. Mind you, I have no idea what this lagg's UTG open stats are, so maybe it's similar to others btn open.

1- 6 is a neutral card for us, I think its perceived that we'd rather call 66/88 pre, so that leaves 67s and 56s that we'd also mostly 3bet pre instead of calling so meh. If it's deeper I wouldnt mind the shove but given his sizing here I call sometimes fold sometimes.

    2- fold

3- dont like. If u wanna bluff id shove. Likely btn has ax too, not to mention lagtard might call qx

4- no, you lose vs Ax.

A9. Wow what a perfect runout though! You just know he'd have like 56o on a 5 river
