So am I ahead or behind?

Default So am I ahead or behind?

I figured that since the game was so shorthanded my 2 pairs would be the best more often even in an allin confrontation. No reads here all I did was decide that 2 pair was good quite often, the only thing he called my flop bet with was either a slowplayed AA-KK, straight draw, or set. I thought the straight draw + bluff was most likely, slowplayed AA-KK next likely, and set least likely. What would you do and what do you think he has after his raise? What about after he calls me all in after thinking for a while? Think about my analysis, come up with your own and then read the hidden showdown here...

i thought he was drawing to a 5-10 high straight. lol how wrong i was! maybe he thought you were trying to buy the pot and if he put a big enough bet in you'd fold? who knows

before i look at the result im going to guess at 3 things
Overpair/two pair/set (two pair is unlikly imo, plus he may be playing a flush draw too, but again unlikly imo)
Hmm which to choose, looking at his position i'd be tempted to say a set, limping from there with 5s (i'd be twempted to raise 8s definatly tens). Thats the best reson i'd think he would call a decent sized flop bet. The only other option is a draw i suppose for the straight perhaps which maybe became a flush draw too on the turn?
I'd guess he has an overpair looks most likly imo (and i guess im probably wrong but lets have a look.....

    *looks*

    wtf!!! lol.
    Ok.
1 I'll pay off a set with my two pair all day. he dont have that.
2 If hes real lucky he has oesd or flush draw or both (but how unlikly here) I cant see him playing like that on any gutshot that a nine helps on the river
Therefore why? there arent any scary draws and why does he call when you reraise nd put him all in? Even if he was gambling on 3 ace outs he finds that hes drawing dead anyway. 3 outs for your stack (and thats if there all live)
roflmfao No wonder i cant get outta my level if people make those sorrta plays at this level!

I thought he had a slow-played AT. I got one card right, at least.

    I'd drop in the morning
    I'd drop in the evening..

thats a good point actually didnt think of that.
But still why would he bet the ranch on tptk?
Its a dft move however we look at it unless he turns over a set or two pair (or maybe the oesd AND flush draw)

Yes, two pair is usually good here. I'd make the same play.

I thought he had a set at first but I would have paid it off anyways. People who call flop bets with overs and pray to hit will make this play to try and bluff you out, however he's representing a 2 here. This is a good example of how and when not to bluff, usually when someone makes a play that doesn't really makes sense its either a slowplayed monster or a bluff, at 100NL I've found that more often than not its a bluff.
