FWIW, I don't think nutsinho went off due to silly questions as much as the silly responses. I give the rant a 9.9 btw. Thought it helped move the thread into the home stretch perfectly.

I'm on both sides here. I think it's fine to yell at noobs but Ben is an FTR reg who contributes a lot so yelling at him is pretty unjustified. Were it someone else I wouldn't mind at all.

HOWEVER, as Nuts said, he's by far and away the best NL player online who consistently posts good advice on a poker forum. Calling him out is ridiculous as this site is clearly 100x better with him than with out him.

I actually thought Nuts was yelling at the guys telling me to check, my only question was how much to bet on turn. I thought his rant was fine and amusing. I value all his posts even his aggressive ones. People need to be less thin skinned and value the opportunity given by people like Nuts responding at all.

Bit of an overeaction though Nuts, I think only one guy seriously got upset at your post, its not like FTR rallied against you.

Most of the time, people are very willing to listen and give advice. But it doesn’t give anyone the right to crap on me because I am beginning a journey most of you are a long way down the road on.

So when nutsinho gives a response like he did, or 500lbgorilla or stacks or Jyms or anyone else throws out a smartass answer to my seemingly moronic question (to them, its moronic, to me it might be on the real) just to jerk my monkey chain because I don’t know poker like you do, it messes up the whole vibe of why I showed up here and became a member.

And yeah, I know all the verbage, I don’t have to stay here and yeah, it’s a poker site so people good at poker run it and yeah I’m in their world so to speak when I come here and yeah, it’s a free site and a free country and anyone can say and do whatever the hell they please. But there is a HUGE GINORMOUS difference between what we CAN do and what we SHOULD do.

If you went to a dentist and he said “a more proper way to brush would be….” And went to another who said “JESUS! OMG! WHO TAUGHT YOU BRUSH, YOU DONKEY TOOTHED BASTARD! IT GOES LIKE THIS…DON’T YOU KNOW ANYTHING?!?” I know where I would get my teeth cleaned.

I guess you could say nutsinho has “graduated” from FTR. Goodbye, god speed, good luck and may you never be card dead. But if you can’t teach without $hitting on people, stay gone.

Nuts didn't say anything all that out of line, and we're not saying ANY verbal abuse is fine for the top players. It isn't.

What I will say is that I would personally endure any level of abuse necessary to keep profiting from Nutsinho's posts. His poker knowledge/experience is that much beyond anyone else's around FTR. He's that good.

You are correct Robb, I do not know these people or their skill level personally, only from their posts here nor did i realize how rare it is for people of their caliber to post their knowledge for free.

Certainly they are exceptional caliber players and it apparently is quite rare and for that misunderstanding I apologize.

I honestly thought in my limited knowledge that a lot of people here were of nutsinho's skill level and I was fortunate enough to find this place. But the way you speak of nutsinho's talents makes me realize how good he must be.
