Dude you have to stop talking about rule number seven. Reread it ! That is exactly what he says. In a raised pot if you can beat aces you have the nuts................
Here was the joke I was making that you stepped on.

lol, maybe a year ago #7 was questionable but it's a pretty solid rule for games Americans can play now

Pffft, obviously so he could make room for all the huge improvements he promised to make in his ATTENTION thread at the top. Improvements such as... hmmm... well... maybe... well there's....

    .........

    I'll get back to you.

From what i can tell...these rules are all still really good to build a 6-max game around but rule number 7 should be somewhat situation and read dependent. That sound good?
    ndultimate.

This post has probably cost me like 20k in EV.

Maybe but the games are much tougher now than they were even 3 or 4 months ago.
I dont agree with that. I think they are at least the same. I remember 5/10 6-max on the old Party being this impossible game full of real sharks and now I play it on Bodog and its half solid players half donkeys. Not that bad.
I wonder, what 5/10 6-max donkey does that u have edge on him ? I doubt they do 50vpip or see 50% flops OR ? weak tights ?

its not just preflop stats... they can have normal looking stats and play bad postflop.

they are pretty solid guidelines except the fold on the flop one.

Move it to shnl because these guidelines beat pretty much all low stakes games.

at 1/2 on stars you will lose if you follow these guidelines directly.

Beating the games just isn't that simple anymore. There's no 10 tenet list that beats 1/2+ stakes. People play well now, and there are adjustments to be made.

Well it beat .5/1 for me. Max can vouch for that.

My vpip is at 30% and my PFR is at 16% over my last 5000 hands. I'm pretty happy with those percentages. I'm doing 84 cents a hand profit at 1/2 NL on FT.

30/16 is definetely limping (at all) and cold calling too much, i suggest you cut down on hands ur cold calling and limping with.

Maintain somehwere between a 15-25% vpip and 7-15% PFR.

Is that PFR = PreFlop Raise?

My goodness. The sick part is that you actually could make $100k a year, easily, playing like this at this point in time.

    2. Raise lots of hands in late position and fewer hands in early position.
    3. Reraise 1010-AA+ AQ,AK Preflop.
    4. 3/4 pot at least 85% of flops when checked too.
    5. Fold to a raise on the flop if you dont have a super read and you dont have at least Aces. (2pair+ = at least aces)
    6. Raise/Reraise 2 Pair+sets+ combo draws on flop.
    7. In a raised pot ifyou can beat Aces you have the nuts.
    8. Dont make big laydowns. By the time you can actually think about making a big laydown you are getting too good of a price at the pot to fold.(I.E dont fold sets)

Ok now you can go make at least 100k a year just knowing that.
Number 7 and number 8 really did not stand the test of time. Other than that this guide holds up pretty well.

4-6 seem hit-or-miss too, with 4 being especially dated.
