    Default I got min 5bet, 50nl zoom

This guy had an 11% 3bet no other specific reads, 28/23.

The reasons I hate this hand:

    1) I feel if he wanted me to fold, he would shove. Im obviously snapping a 5bet shove.

    2) Why does he min click it back? The positions at the table make me think he would probably flat all the hands i dominate.

    3) Yes, i flat. I dont know why, heat of the moment thing. I think its shove or fold. But I got overly suspicious at his min 5 bet

I'll start by saying that your oponents cbet sizing is retarded.

I don't mind the flat pre, as long as you aren't folding postflop no matter what. I'd probably just call it down since you can beat all his bluffs.

i really wanna fold pre as the chances of him bluffing are nearly 0

Don't fold AK against any competent lag 3betting OTB for normal stacks, no matter what he does. This min 5bet has been gaining in popularity recently because it confuses quite many. It can be a bluff just as well as a shove can, he just needs to call it off with his garbage.

Not saying we know this villain employs a competent preflop strategy, but nevertheless I would absolutely not recommend making a very exploitable fold with 20bb in the pot pre.

yeah the min5bet is definitely not always KK+. I've seen J9s as well as a villain fold to my shove (and we were only 100bb deep)

I agree with all of the above. I was trying to do the maths on a shove vs AA and KK (specifically). I realise this isnt only his range, I wanted to know how close it was. Can anybody help out?

Pot size after his 5bet is:

    10 + 15.50 + 0.25 + 0.5 = 26

Sorry, my maths in shove spots is not that great. So Im shoving a further 44 to win 26?

"dont fold postflop no matter what" - im not so sure I understand how this will work!

He says this because if you're calling pre instead of jamming, it's because you think he might have bluffs, but if you shove pre he'll fold his bluffs. So you call pre to keep his bluffs in the hand.

If you call to keep the bluffs in the hand, then you want to let him keep bluffing and you need to keep calling (ie: not folding, no matter what!)

LOL I suppose you can fold then as you still need around 30% equity, but in general it's pretty hard to imagine that calling the 5bet pre with AK can be better than shoving.

just shove pre, calling w/ intention to get it in on flops kinda sucks since you don't know anything about his range.

That said, this is a decent flop for you. I have no idea why he's betting this big though... punish him and shove
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

I would also shove pre. Given if he 5bet any other size you would instashove you can rest easy knowing he didn't own you any way, shape, or form.

    Easy Shove pré.

May I ask, what sizing do you make it if you're villain? I prob go around $18, so I didn't think this sizing was too awful.

i really wanna fold pre as the chances of him bluffing are nearly 0
This was my gut feel when I read the HH.

How often is hero 4betting? Does this villain have any reason to think you're light enough to profitably minbluff? What's your image?

I have very little experience at 50nl, so my thoughts could easily be level 0 microdonk thinking.
