Default Flopped straight, turn pairs board

No previous hands on this vil. I think next time I would raise a bit larger on the flop - maybe 13-14BB. After being raised on the flop I decided to re-eval on the turn. Overall a fairly weak line - played ok?

Your flop raise sizing seems very small to me? Barely over a min raise on a super coordinated board.

I would jack it up much harder than this, ~14-15bbs.

As played, I'm calling river for that price.

I agree with griffey24 on both counts.

I actually don't mind the small flop raise as we're IP, we don't have the nuts and there's no flushdraw. I could even fold river for that price, what does he like so much on the flop?

a little town called none of your goddamn business
No flush draw and you hold blockers to his bluffs. Not to mention a lot of his open enders have pairs and wouldn't play this fast anyway.

The problem with folding the river is that he reps QJ only. I still may fold. Yeah a raise to 12 on the flop would be a bit more standard.

It's got to be close though. You beat 76 and he could possibly have 87/J8 and be thin betting trips on the river. I don't hate calling.

I don't see a range of hands that is continuing to 10bb that isn't continuing to at least 12-13bb.

If we don't like raising bigger, then I'd rather keep a hand this strong in my call down range on this board than practically min-raising imo. Especially when my call down range on this board has a lot of hands that might call a couple streets and fold river, it's nice to have some that will call a triple.

What does he like indeed. Question I was really asking was what does he like that he suddenly doesn't like when the turn pairs? It really does seem like he's repping QJ exactly
