he's a complete station. 70vpip type, fairly passive.

aks 4 to go utg+1. He calls next, with the bb.

    Flop (12.50)

    Bet 9. he calls.

    bet 22.50. calls.

    River (75.5)

    9h

    I shove.

    2.

other guy is decent tag, prob views me as a bit of a standard nit.

    $95 stacks.

He open raises 4 in the co.

I'm the only caller from the blinds.

    Flop (8.5)

    678r

I check, he bets 7, I make it 22. He thinks and calls.

    Turn (52.5)

    I shove

    3.

100 effective, 22/7/.04, bit of a station, fairly passive. not much table time to go on.

I make it 4 from the co with 33,

    He calls from the bb.

    Flop (8)

    Ah, 3d, 8d

    checks. i bet 6

    Turn (20)

    I like 1 and 2.
You can't fold 3, I rather raise then fold.
  3. #3
    call hand 3, dont raise

hand 1 - if you think he's a postflop call station, then this is good, but I'm prepared to see some crappy two pair hand. I usually just value bet all three streets against these guys and push when I know I have them

hand 2 - is it me, or do we not know your hand?

hand 3 - yah just call, but he made it so cheap that I never fold

To be clear: I also advocate calling in hand 3. You question was wether you should be thinking about folding though, my answer is I'd rather raise then fold. But calling is best.

Hand #1: Bet more on the flop and turn against this guy. Makes that river push a lot less scary to him.

Hand #2: You look scared. And he looks like he has at least an overpair. Trouble.

Hand #3: Call. I also bet more on the turn.

I don't see the point of a shove in hand 1 -- he's not calling this very often unless he has you beat and you lose value from weaker hands

    hand 3 just call

I have 33 or something in hand 2. air basically.

I kinda agree with the fold in hand 3. He's so passive and suddenly leads out big when the flush hits on the river after he c/c the previous streets.. I probably call but I think folding is sensible here, his AF is 0.04! He doesn't bet anything but the nuts basically.

You're losing loads of value if you're not playing TPTK for stacks against a "70 VPIP complete station"

I'd bet something easy to call like $30. I don't see how having a high VPIP means he stacks off with TPGK. Calling stations call down with marginal hands, but I don't think they go all in with TPGK. There's not that much in the pot anyway at this point for the station to feel 'committed' into calling.

I must play way worse players than you guys. I know 70 VPIP doesn't mean he's going to go broke post-flop with TPGK. But Phantom made a point of saying "complete station" which I assume means he calls with any piece. I play so many guys that call it all off with ace and a crap kicker even.

But so the villain should feel more committed that's why I suggested he pot the flop and turn making it a much easier push to call on the river.
