Default check or bet turn with strong draw

First hand. I think were about 52% verse his calling range on the flop, even assuming he doesn't raise 2 pair and sets and he's only 3betting ak+, tt+ which I think is fair assumption for the first hand. Don't think there's much showdown value besides a thin range of draws which he usually won't bluff with at this level.

    BB (t3000)
    Hero (SB) (t3000)
    Hero's M: 100.00
Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 5
Hero bets t60, BB calls t40
    Flop: (t120) Q, 2, K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t60, BB calls t60
    Turn: (t240) 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t240, BB calls t240
    Total pot: t720

If I check it's flipping a coin on wether he bet's top pair or check call's; If I bet large on turn it should to some degree narrow his range towards top pair and draws so I can check the river if I miss and bet pot if I hit my draw: is this logic correct?

I don't like betting this turn, especially on the first hand of the match when you don't know anything about his range. I don't see his folding anything he called on the flop with that is better than us on this turn. I'd check behind give up on any non A or club river.
[00:29] <daven> dc, why not check turn behind

I agree with donachello. If he's got KT or something and the club hits and he bets we can still get in a pretty healthy raise on the river, and we cut our losses a ton when we brick. Especially at small stakes, people don't like to fold/ think you're bluffing way more than you are, so I'd guess you get looked up by a Q if you bet 3 streets first hand.

You should definitely bet this turn with the nfd. Your logic is correct, I'd check the river.

    River is Ah.

I bet 420, he raises to nearly all in, and im left feeling like I just spewwed the first third of my stack. On the turn I insta-potted and was planning the same if I hit the the river, but with the ace it's just hard for me to be bluffing so he'd likely fold alot of his range, though you never know at this level.

Do you have to bet this river and can you ever consider calling? With only 10 hands I have some idea of where i'm at but this early it feels like im wandering through the dark.

I think that the river bet is fine given this is a small stakes level and I can see someone calling here with a Kx or Qx. I'd definitely fold to the allin, I would bet my life that he has JT. Even if he was bluffing it would be retarded because most opponents are gonna have at least two pair here if they have value and he's hoping to get that to fold, not a good idea at all. I bet you'll find a great spot against him later.
