AKs BvB deep 50nl SPEED

    Default AKs BvB deep 50nl SPEED

    This is the most interesting hand I've played in recent history. SB is the top reg of the SPEED games. He is very aggressive and likes to c/r on all streets.

    Notable history: I've called his overbet bluff shove 200bb deep on the river with a bluffcatcher, flatted AA OOP in 3bet pots when we were deep. He probably perceives me to be more of a trappy rather than bluffy player.

    200bb effective

    4 folds
    SB: raise 4x
    Hero (BB): 3bets to 11x with
    SB: 4bets to 32x
    Hero: calls

    Flop:

    SB: checks
    Hero: ...

    I should've done the math first:

    Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

    7,920 games 0.000 secs 1,584,000 games/sec

    Board: 8c 3c 6d
    Dead:

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 38.093% { AcKc }
    Hand 1: 61.907% { KK+, 6h6s, 8s6s }

    I gave villain one combo each of 86s and 66 just because I think they are in his value range if he check/raises or bets at some stage

    Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

    5,940 games 0.000 secs 1,188,000 games/sec

    Board: 8c 3c 6d
    Dead:

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 41.212% { AcKc }
    Hand 1: 58.788% { KK+ }

    even just against KK+ I have over 40% equity! I have 36% equity against exactly AA as well

    bet/call flop is definitely +EV, and seeing as my hand has the greatest equity on the flop that's definitely the time to put money in the pot.

    torn between betting $8 and $17 against someone who loves to c/r

    checking has a lot of merit as well

    Pre I would 5bet and shove over a 6bet. On this flop I would def check behind.

    I think I still prefer betting the flop just because the math indicates that would be a profitable way to play the hand. bikes/P4's: what advantages do you see to checking behind? I can call one street with AK high but I don't think I can profitably call a turn + river barrel unimproved. Are you hoping to induce a bluff on the turn/river? I think most of his bluffs cbet the flop

    SB: checks
    Hero: checks behind

    Turn: (pot: 64bb)

    SB: checks
    Hero: ...

    villian sounds fucking crazy, what about betting turn and when he ships or w/e just clicking call because any of his actual value hands (except sets) would have bet by now... his raising range I think literally on the turn is sets or air, and obviously heavily weighted towards air.

    Grab yo balls and b/c!

    This: "Pre I would 5bet and shove over a 6bet"

    If you check flop i think you check turn but bot hands stay faced up as Ax i guess.

    5b/c pre, as played just bet 1/2 pot and get it in on flop

    I prefer a bet, you dont have the best hand yet but a bunch of equity, if villain has something wierd you want to bet for the FE? Esp. if villain is aggro, if you check back and villain leads turn+river and you brick. I guess there isnt much you can do other than fold or hero call?

    I like the call pre tbh, being so deep vs an aggressive player.

    Im not sure I understand the merit of checking behind or what it achieves (I would like someone to explain why )

    Although as played I check behind turn too as if you bet I guarantee he shoves lol.
