Default AA 3 way reraised pot line discussion.

Cold caller is a 27/20/7% 3-bet Reg. I have seen him flat big pairs to 3-bets in pos and shove over c-bets in the past. The initial raise-caller seems to be a fish, just down and has a 50% VPIP over 2-3 orbits.

I feel like this is a pretty interesting spot, at least in the sense there are a few different lines we can take. I'm pretty confident that if I check the flop, it looks like i'm giving up so much that the cold caller is going to bet both his value hands and his stuff like 99/10s to get me off AK. Most viable lines seem to be: Bet/fold flop small, c/shove flop. Less orthodox is the one I took, and you could also c/call flop c/fold turn I guess. What do we think is best?

    No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($265.55)
    MP ($203)
    Hero (CO) ($197)
    Button ($641.88)
    SB ($362.40)
    BB ($58.70)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, A
UTG bets $6, 1 fold, Hero raises $21, Button calls $21, 1 fold, UTG calls $15

    Flop: ($66) Q, J, 8 (4 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks, Button bets $35, 1 fold, Hero calls $35

    Turn: ($136) 2 (3 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $70, Hero raises $141 (All-In), Button calls $71

    River: ($418) 10 (3 players, 1 all-in)

    Total pot: $418

seems ok, this flop smacks his cold calling range but with all the money in the pot and a good turn card for us, getting the money in on turn seems good.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Absolutely bet the flop, there's a fish in the pot who isn't folding AQ!

I don't think it's very likely at all that BU is going to bet flop with TT/99. Turn seems fine as played, you definitely can't fold with KK (and AA) in BU range.

bet/folding seems bad assuming BTN will always raise your cbet with KK, although b/3betting also seems marginal at best vs BTN. I think check/shove is going to be even worse than b/3bet because BTN may find a fold with KK if UTG also calls

so i think c/c flop is best because there are only six turn cards I can think of that are definitely folds (non spade K/T) and this is our best line to induce a bluff, tho that also seems improbable

I don't mind his line. I feel like this is a spot where hero is rarely going to be bluffing postflop (vs a 3bet cold caller OOP)

If that's the case, aren't we better off maximizing the amount we get from bluffs/air, and stacking vs the same range of hands this way that we woulda stacked off with had we bet in the first place?

is betting flop better because we assume hands like 99/TT will check back here or possibly some other stuff too like maybe AQ/AK and givin those free outs?

I think if you're taking this line you should c/r the flop all in.

I'd fold the turn to that bet

Do people agree that cold calling ranges are more heavily weighted towards JJ/QQ than they are to AK/KK/AA?

For that reason, I feel like I might also find a fold on the turn sometimes. This board is pretty gross vs a cold caller's range.

We've got 50% equity vs JJ+ here and we need way less.

Even so, it evens out once a J and Q come on the flop

why cant he have 10 9 here?

Theres no way of knowing I guess, unless u bet the flop, around 65-70% u prolly take it town there, and get it in on the turn, the river really sucks and should have never been seen (imho)
