    Default 4B pot - KQos 50NL

    Very new to HU

Villain is playing 73/67 and 3B'ing 23% over 150 hands

    I'm 51/39 3B'ing 12%

He's folding to 3B's 75% of the time thus far and has folded to 1/2 of my 4B's

Here I decide to 4B this hand b/c he's 3B'ing a lot, I have blockers to his nut hands, and I can comfortably fold if he shoves (I believe)

    well he wtf flats

If I had to guess I think his hand range consists of like a lot of 55-1010, maybe AJs/AQ/KQs/QJs type hands

I choose to cbet small (rather thank checking) since I'm pretty sure he's never going to shove 55-1010/KQ/QJ and he'll just ship/call any Ax's in his range and then I can give up/fold unimproved

    how's my thought process?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (2 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB ($43.20)
    Hero (SB) ($92.30)

Preflop: Hero is SB with ,
Hero bets $1.50, BB raises to $5, Hero raises to $11, BB calls $6

    Flop: ($22) , , (2 players)
    BB checks, Hero bets $7

    Total pot: $22 | Rake: $0.50

    ***extra credit***

How much should I be 3B'ing someone who's playing as aggressively preflop as this guy? I'm sure I have to be 3B'ing more, how's a range of 88+,A2s+,K2s+,QJs,J7s+,T6s+,AQo+,KJo+,QJo,JTo,T9o sound as a 3B'ing range? (~19%)

If he's 3betting a lot I would think that calling KQ can't be a mistake since 4betting obviously turns it into a bluff. He's fold a TON to 3bets for opening what seems to be nearly every button. I'd be 3betting a massive amount of suited junk as well as a reasonably wide value range.

Any idea what kind of range he''s 3betting? I prefer flatting KQ here since we keep in all his junk and worse broadway hands if he is 3betting a merged range.

I'd 3bet this guy more until he adjusts, suited 1-2-3 gappers, weak Kxs, TT+,AQ+. If he starts calling more we can add in stuff like KQ/AJ and drop some of the junk

You should be 4betting this guy with some bluffs but unless you have some timing or game flow reason to believe he's bluffing you should be flatting KQ here. I like your small flop cbet, I think you should shove most turns if he calls.

If a player is folding to 75% of 3bets it's technically profitable to 3bet ANYTHING, if he's playing that loose im guessing he's raising close to 100% of buttons, which mean it's probably optimal to 3bet closer to 30%. But if he's a total station and/or you're not comfortable in 3bet pots you're 3betting range seems fine (although i'd take out T9o and JTo)

Nice post. My only difference is that I usually don't 3bet wide value against anyone they really adjust, usually players wont play aggro or stationy enough for you to put hands in your 3bet range that will flop medium value. (Like QJo or 88)

Your operating under the assumption that the only way to combat a high 3 bet % HU is by 4 betting more and then trying to tack the problem from there. There is another solution, chiefly calling and making life hell for them IP in 3 bet pots.
