i would image this is always a jam with strogest flushes on the river, and possibly a checkback with weaker/lowest flushes, if you don`t expect him to call you often enough with weaker bluffcatchers

Raise flop > Raise turn imo as played I'd always jam river

Yah I agree. People can definitely play low flushes like this, wanting you to keep bluffing if that's what you're doing.

I'd be more inclined to check if the board was more coordinated, with a lot of possible two pairs that boated up. There's no real two pair here even.

Depends on history/what he thinks of you..He probably thinks any hand < X high flush is a bluffcatcher...yeah you're usually ahead, but are you usually ahead when he calls? you have the A and Q of clubs which take away from his OP combos and he can't have called the turn with the NFD.

He thinks I'm a scandi spewtard but I still want to check. I'm sure he respects my game.

I played this hand vs him a few minutes earlier, which makes checking that river so hard though.

    SB ($461)
    Hero ($400)
    UTG ($609)
    UTG+1 ($418)
    CO ($880)
    BTN ($402)

    Dealt to Hero: 99

fold, UTG+1 raises to $12, fold, fold, SB calls $10, Hero calls $8

    FLOP ($36) T 6 T
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $24, SB folds, Hero raises to $100, UTG+1 calls $76

    TURN ($236) T 6 T 3
    Hero checks, UTG+1 checks

    RIVER ($236) T 6 T 3 8
Hero bets $124, UTG+1 raises to $306 (AI), Hero folds

Yah I'd never check now. He can be peeling the turn so much lighter knowing you are capable of bluffing scary cards.

edit: not to mention if he thinks you're bluffy, he's more likely to call a low flush on turn than jam.

The only reason this is a tough spot is because your turn raise sizing is a bit ridiculous and looks like the nuts. Even then, he will have lower flushes played this way or KKc that you now have to jam.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

turn sizing feels dirty to me. wouldn't you raise somewhat smaller if you were bluffing?

id be more inclined to raise smaller on turn in h1 as well usually planning on bluffing a blank for roughly 5/6th pot with some frequency. since you have the nuts i would want to represent this. you can also call turn and shove over a river bet or overbet or bet river when checked to which may be better on a 3c turn

hand 2 i like your line
