Default 10/20 Turning my hand into a bluff

Is this any good? Villain is a high stakes TAG reg, something like 23/18/1.8. I havn't played with him much so not sure about his tendencies or anything, just know that he plays rather straightforward. I have a good image at these stakes.

    I'm repping a flush, FH..

    $10/$20 No Limit Holdem
    6 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ($2918.04)
    UTG+1 ($1750.00)
    CO ($2235.00)
    BTN ($2520.87)
    SB ($2077.00)
    Hero ($2354.00)

    Pre-flop: ($30, 6 players) Hero is BB
4 folds, SB raises to $60, Hero calls $40

    Flop: ($120, 2 players)
SB bets $100, Hero raises to $285, SB calls $185

    Turn: ($690, 2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks

    River: ($690, 2 players)
    SB bets $500, $500 to Hero ($2009)?

I shoved, ~$1250 more for him to call

It's a bit strange to rep the runner flush after you raise the flop. Your hand looks like a boat or air, and it's hard to give credit for a boat after you check behind the turn, and since it's BvB.

You certainly have a lot of fold equity so to me this looks decent, especially with a good image.

What are you putting him on?

When he bets river.. im guessing K9/A9/88+/5x, but pretty much never a flush.

I mean a flush isn't a big part of my range either, unless I bluff raised flop and got there on river. I'm just hoping my image helps my range here really.

How wide is his SB opening range?
If his range is that tight, your flop raise is so sick profitable as a bluff.

I'm talking about his range by river when he bets... not his flop range. I'm not sure what he opens SB with, ive hardly played with him

Yeah and the fact that this is true is why the flop raise is so bad.

I honestly have no idea if this shove is good though, so I'd never try it.

Yah I also really didn't like the flop raise in this hand.

I don't think we can call here, we don't beat much that's betting here at all. Fold > shove > call I think.

I think more interesting is if we should value bet this river when checked to. Too thin?

    I agree with Renton.

griffey its possible taht its more like fold > call > shove. Some people will fold no better hand here.

shove > fold > call. i think his range is hugely weighted to A9 and he wont call. you could definitely have 67, 9ts, 34s, and other just weirdly played hands. checking back the turn with a boat isnt that crazy especially w/ 99 because its hard for him to make a hand.

id need a lot of history of me owning someone's soul to make this bluff but i actually like it quite a bit for the reasons everyone else lieks it but i hate it cause ppl r fucking stations when they have pairs and pot odds
