1/2 - AA 200bb deep oop

    Default 1/2 - AA 200bb deep oop

Villain is a reg I've seen and played with a lot but have no notes on... he must be play pretty blandly, or we just haven't tangled. He runs 20/16/3 and is a loser over a large sample. He 3bets 6% from the button and raises a lot of cbets (19%). Turn and river aggression stats go down on turn and river (AF by street: 3.7/2.3/2.0).

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    saw flop

    SB ($462.75)
    BB ($150)
    UTG ($498.05)
    MP ($417.65)
    Hero (CO) ($396.10)
    Button ($387.45)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, A
2 folds, Hero bets $6, Button calls $6, 2 folds

    Flop: ($16.80) 8, 3, Q (2 players)
Hero bets $14, Button raises to $42, Hero...

You need frequencies for optimal play.

id re raise flop i think. hes loose and raises kinda wide so the chance he has Qx is too big, so we need to punish him

id never 3b flop given we have the Ad, we can peel a bunch of turns. We can also pretty easily get all our money in vs his Qx if he checks turn, he'll prob c/c twice if hes bad enough to have Qx here.

So easy call/call for me here

I'd call turn for sure. If he is bluffing, he's certainly continuing on this card!

You think 20/16 is loose? (honestly curious). Or were you thinking zook's post of his aggro frequencies were his stats?

My initial reaction is to call flop/call turn but would like to know a bit more why you think he's raising a Q. I guess he is aggro enough to get in TP here?

i fold the river, he can't be value betting worse and he's not bluffing either with that sizing. And if we shove he's not folding a set or a flush (obv).

a little deeper (maybe 100 more?) I like to CR riv i think, even with these stacks i don't think it s bad, but then again i ve probably been playing too much omaha so who knows
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

Are you hoping he folds a set?

I don't think a small bet here is necessarily weak. He could be betting small because the four to a straight is obviously on the board now, and he thinks it will harder to get value if he bets bigger.

i like this, but my question is can we profitably do this without an established aggro history? zook may be able to better answer this question since it's 200nl, but i guess what i'm saying is i'd rather my first flop 3bet 200bb deep would be with air rather than a real hand. then again i also play 50nl

    fold the end for sure.

in a vacuum i think call flop and c/r most turns is best, but call down on diamonds and you can call/turn fold river on some extra bad diamonds
