    Lighting sweet moneys on fire.
You mostly only beat bluffs, play accordingly.

Ugly board that came out, I would raise a bit more preflop to avoid a spot like that, but I think it's a safe fold

How much would you raise pref? 3x is my standard open raise pref ...

3x bb is pretty standard preflop raise. I almost never see anyone raising more at these levels.

Your villains stats indicate that hes nut hunting - wide gap between his VPIP and PRF, low Afq, low 3bet %... I'd say he called with something that hit this board pretty hard

a little town called none of your goddamn business
I don't hate a call since you don't block any flush draws, but folding seems best vs this nitty looking player.

I didn't even see the FD. Still, it looks like he hit a FH here. 8's or 4's most likely. See a lot of these players on zoom that essentially set hunt. They're pretty easy to spot with a HUD so you can find folds easily when they play back at you. I rarely see them get imaginative either so it's not often you're folding to a bluff

I like the 3x in tournament play, but at cash table I like to go 5-6x to either build a decent pot before the flop, or take it down preflop and avoid that kind of situation.

Normally when the flop is paired it is ok to bet closer to half pot than 71%. However, I guess he could have 2 spades or 7 9 so it isn't necessarily a way-ahead/way-behind spot.

Like pocketfours said, you're mostly only beating bluffs.

This brings up bet-sizing questions. If the flop is something like 6s Qh 6c then do you lower the flop bet to half pot or so? I do because I'm either way ahead or way behind and I don't want to build a huge pot.

    This.

I don't play online much anymore but my gut says players don't bluff with this line and he has plenty of nut hands in his range.
