I'd recommend Firefly. It's short (one short season and one movie to kind of cap off their premature cancellation). Weeds is good for the first 2 seasons or so as well.

I was into it for a while, but it lost my interest right about halfway through season 2. I guess it's kinda like X-files, which I was never into at all.

Same here. Mentalist is a bit better, but I am kinda meh on the whole smarty/crime drama genre.

On that note, Weeds was a good show for seasons 1, 2 and part of 3. After that it went to shit, so bad that I actually dropped it from my tvtorrents RSS feed.
