Fnord: Very close 8s 3c 9s 6c.
Been playing PLO for about a week and absolutely loving it.
I'd appreciate any feedback on this hand. Especially the type of hand that you would put me on.
Background: This is the craziest...
How many "unknowns" do you typically see? (People who are new may try and make moves)
Has pusher shown down any hands in his two orbits?
Has he been pushing the table around (or at least trying...
I always thought the men and women were gassed seperately. Live and learn.
(Yes, I'm Jewish)
Agreed, excellent article. Thanks
My pleasure.
Honestly, that's about as good a flop for QQ as they get. Maybe J high to get action from AJ/KJ.
Villian 1: Calls a lot preflop = Axs, 22+, sc, sc+1
Figure that if Villian 2 had AA/KK and there was another caller sandwhiched he'd 4-bet/push over your raise.
You have to bet about $15 and...
Yikes, tough crowd :)
I called figuring that with $3 to win $12 (or $15 if the button calls) and position is good enough for my 41% equity against his range. Plus it's very easy to get away from...
Bodog so rough HH:
First or second orbit at the table, neither villian (nor I) have done anything of note.
Me MP AcKc $50
Button $100
BB $50
I open with $2 in MP
Button calls
BB raises to...

Or any hand that's 2 pair or better. (Like turning a straight)
You think a worse hand than yours calls 2 big bets on that board with anything less than a flush? If you don't have a read that he bluffs or is aggressive I think it's a clear fold.
I figure you'd normally 3-bet with hands like AA/KK/AK at a minimum. So you should double those hands so people can't always put you on a monster, but they do give you the respect of having a solid...
Hand 1 is fine. People will stack off with far worse, he could be slow playing AA/KK or something like 34/45.
Hand 2: I've had a much easier time playing hands like TT/JJ if I reraise preflop. ...
Quarter mile? I'll go you one better, I grew up in Skokie. That line always made me smile.
All day every day I play it like you do.
I'd expect BB to have something like AA/KK or AdXd almost every time. Looks like sb is on a draw to.
The only hands that really make sense are things like 22/AcQc/KcQc. You'd think he' d wait til the river with 77/QQ.
I don't have a problem calling here at all, I'm sure I would.
Here all the time. Villian could have AQ/AJ just as easily as could you.
I agree, it's really tough to fold here. Very easy for villian to have a hand like KQ or AcQc and play it the exact same way. In order to justify folding you have to put him on 99/KK/TcJc. Figure...
Fnord: I'm just saying how I'd play, I'm not saying it's right, and I 100% see where you are coming from. Personally, I hate to be blown off of hands which is why I check behind more than I should....
As someone who plays at these levels, I'd check behind on river and fold as played (without a read). C/c on the flop and c/c turn on a mono board is a flush or big A, since I'd have to fold to a...
Why'd you reraise the flop? If it was for "information" than you have to fold. If he doesn't seem to care about what you have, then you are crushed. I'd put him on, at worse, something like 6d7d...
With your loose style, I'd push. One can have a draw and the other can have an overpair. You'd play this the exact same way with AKo, or any of your reraising hands.
He's got something like 99/89/9T
I think he calls every single time. It's possible he has AK and may fold, but other hands would he call the 3-bet and pot size flop bet with?
It seems like he made his decision on the flop to...
