I'm not betting until the river. The problem that is nobody has an eight, and you're praying that somebody has a King or gets squirrely.
I like the call option. You have the best drawing hand possible. Hide the strength of your hand, defend your blind, hit the flop, double up.
12xBB out of position. I'm folding.
Give them math lessons! There is no way they will compute EV or anything near it. Pick them off with premium hands and post flop play. Like you said though, if an Ace flops, proceed with caution....
You need to take it down before he catches up. You ruled, so milk it.
Bump!
Yep, you shove he folds, next hand. I'm not crazy about all my chips on a coin flip but odds are he's folding anyway.
This is great stuff spoon!
You say it doesn't matter if the blinds are aggressive, can you explain that a little more? I mean, if there is only a 10% chance the BB folds, that should change a...
Robb, I''ve been seeing crazy crap too lately. If you're firing away and it's working, then I'm all about it. I've played tables like this a lot in the last week.
Eventually, someone is going to...
Wow, that's a tough one. Villain obviously has something and I hate thoughtless all-ins. Does the board give any clues to what he has? I mean if I have a boat (999JJ) and the board is JJ99 (I have...
I understand and agree, but . . .
You pretty much can count on playing your BB (10%) and conservatively 1/2 of your SBs (5%), so there's 15% without catching any great hands.
If a guy only saw...
Yeah, I stand behind my call, and would do it again under these circumstances, but A - K IS a drawing hand, the BEST one, and I could have waited for a big pair or someone else to bust this DONK.
...
I was playing on-line against about a 3300 person field for a WSOP seat. Well into the tournament, something happened. The player directly across from me goes all-in. No problem, maybe he is...
All-In without a Spade AND Boat possibilities? :?
When I get around a real idiot, I leave (if possible). Someone is going to win big and someone is going to lose big, but it's too much of a...
In another thread, a player was pushing HARD with Big Slick trying to get the QQ to fold. There are only two hands that have you and only one (A-K) that may fake it. You have to exploit the faker. ...
"Feeler Call"; Good one! Absolutely, if you are on a draw you call the "feeler bet", what did he we learn here? (You're on a draw? The hook is set and ready to reel the fish in?)
If you have...
Wow! Great post. I guess I play too trappy, get the goods - drop the hammer. Or, all out bluff. I guess I should throttle up a notch or two, especially on-line. In your example, he folded big...
I think you played well. Their were a ton of hands you could beat.
It's the 9 high flush dude that made a bad play. What was he thinking?
This Lady was to my immediate right and after she told me about the Aces, she went All-In like 3 out of 5 of the next hands. She had 1 good hand (QQ) and the rest were marginal. She Never had Aces!...
I'm new here.
Why can't you call the raise and see if you flop one or the other?
LOL - Good point! If you don't take out the trash . . .
Last night I played in a tourney and this lady told me she would NEVER play pocket Jacks again, AND the only way to play Pocket Rockets is...
Why not bet 4xBB first. It doesn't look like a nut flush draw and villian will be more apt to call than re-raise. You may get more value if you hit the flush and by betting first, you may get to...
Absolutely, I'm just noting that if our opponent hit top pair and draws to a set or something, it's worth considering.
They are ALL great hands (89%), but top set is makes for slightly easier...
I think you over-disguised the strength of your hand pre-flop and failed to sell it on the turn. Bet more pre-flop and get it all in post-flop.
