What a donk.
I pretty much agree 100%.
Q7 hand I think cbetting and c/c are probably ok. I'd just fold the turn though.
I like the 3bet pre if the BB is squeeze happy. You can take the pot down now or play in a bigger pot with a hand capable of flopping big.
I'd c/f the flop though. You have one of the worst hands...
I'd just call the flop, don't think we can raise. Evaluate on the turn. Probably call any non-heart, A, K or 2 turn (unless it's a spade).
I think the preflop call is fine given villain's 3bet...
I'm not so sure we should have a "one size fits all" bet size on each flop texture. I think the flop bet is ok but you could probably bet slightly larger.
I think the turn is a b/f. I definitely...
Awesome posts, Renton!
My god! CONGRATS!!!!!!!
Gabe - I loved the way you played and reading your old blog on FTR. You seemed extremely aggressive + your table chats seemed to tilt everyone.
What made you really understand the game and start...
I'd bet/fold river but I haven't played in forever. If 25NL players are good enough to bluff raise here then fuck
I've been quoting this post of yours since 2007.
Not playing :(
Agree about low stakes playing exploitative poker; however, GTO should still profit and should really help understand what kind of ways in which we can exploit more accurately.
Griff - rooting hard for you obviously. What kind of GTO material are you reading, watching, using (tools), etc? I'm about to go on a 100% GTO study/0% play binge soon and have found a lot of good...
Great luck with everything, Harley! Very inspirational stuff. I, myself, started Paleo about a month ago and have never felt better. Everytime I cheat I feel like shit and go right back to a strict...
BCP still going to be available for US players, right? F me. F the US.
With him being so passive, play tons of hands with pure equity (as opposed to playability) as showdowns will actually happen quite often. I'd 3bet a non-polarized/top heavy range.
Play tons of nut...
So what are we assuming he's double barreling here? I mean his cbet% isn't crazy and it's 3 handed and his UTG raising range is tight as shit. Maybe I'm just overly scared.
I also think OP's range...
I think 4bet sizing is fine but I'd probably just c/f flop. From the stats you gave he's probably not auto bluffing flop when you check and this board texture (although he folds to cbets a lot)...
To me villain seems like a player you may need to have a balanced range here. I'd probably just 4bet.
This
What's his fold to cbet%?
I don't understand what you're trying to say about CRAI when you didn't.
I was questioning hoopy as I'd rather not have a polarized range in this spot. I'd rather play a merged range as he's flatting things we can dominate him when we 3bet AQ/AJ/KQ/TT/99 type hands.
How come you want to 3bet a polarized range here vs. someone that flats 3bets a lot?
In his eyes? Or is that really your gameplan? If it's the latter then you need a lot of adjusting.
So he expects you do 3bet a lot and calls 50% overall and most likely much more against you and especially in this situation? Sounds like a good time to 3bet. Vs. most I'm just flatting.
As played...
You're good. Now's not the thread to go into it but they do contact FTRers.
Anyways, I think a good way of studying is something I hoped we could try to do in the BC at some time. Play an "Exploit...
