Villain is 33/17 over ~400, a calling station and cannot lay down tpnk; sb 3better is 52/24 & 7.7% 3bet over 40ish; I've been pretty inactive the last couple of orbits running 14/11 overall on this...

If you flat then you're oop for the rest of the hand. 3bet for value, since he can call with worse or fold.

Normally, I don't like passive play but since almost every draw on the board completes on the river then it'd be really hard for him to call.

Was my thinking wrong in that I chose that 3bet sizing to keep both players in the pot but try to eliminate some of the BS holdings that they could have?

BB is 29/9 over 70 & BTN is 19/17 over 1.9K

The best read I had on the BB is that I'd seen him call an overbet/shove with QQ a few orbits ago. BTN seems pretty decent, but likes to 4bet light so...

I think the time to 5b bluff would be when it's deep stacked and HU (the villain might be inclined to 4b light) instead of when he just 4bet into two players.

If we've got a read that he'll 4b...

If it were just you and the BB then the % of time that you can get him to fold might make it worth while, but when he cold 4b into two players it makes his hand appear much stronger.
