Bet size - getting the best of it
Bet size - getting the best of it
I`m working hard lately to improve my game. Have reading and playing a lot. And I see there`s one point I`m not getting the best of it. And I`m talking about maximizing the profit of my winning hands.
We can talk here all day long how one should play agressive to build a stack in a SnG/MTT.
I`m practicing and doing pretty well lately in pickying pots with craps, playing position instead of just cards, pre-flop or in the flop.
I`m stealing, it`s working, but I have to be way agressive in the flop when I`m called pre-flop, so I can end up the action right there.
Example:
bbb = 20
3 limpers
I raise to 100
1 caller
flop comes raggy
If I`m in position over him (I am in this case) and he checks the flop, I bet something between 300-400.
If he bets something like 100-200, I re-raise him to something like 500-800. He folds and I get the pot.
It`s being working pretty fine.
BUT....when I get a real hand....standard raise pre-flop...and when the flop comes, I make a 1/3 pot size bet, or even a half pot size bet, I get no action!
well...I guess you got the point here...it`s hard for me to explain, as English is not my best. But it`s something really to study and work.
I see guys, building big pots constantly in the first hour of a MTT/SNG. When I`m doing fine, I`m just above the average, or something like 2 to 3 times the initial stack (unless we got lucky and hit real monsters)
Well...hard to explain and put in all kind of situations that`s I`m thinking right now. But the main reason of this thread is: MAXIMIZING YOUR PROFITS
Let`s talk about it?
Regards,
