they worked hard posting hands and talking about poker theory and worked out the maths for various situations when away from the tables and reveiwed their hands post session. . They didn't make wooly catch all threads about what makes a great player....
It's Phil Galfond.
Maybe most players think the pros are all great players, and don't look at some players at lower levels. I have come in contact with very good players at low levels, and everyone of them have one thing in common. They have patience. That is something I try to have but sometimes when the cards are not falling my way I try to make something happen and every time I pay for it. So when I see a player at a table folding every hand for awhile, I know they are good and I watch out when they call or raise a pot.
I think that a poker player can be considered great when we wins big tournaments (live or online) and he is constantly ITM (in the Money) and increases is bankroll.
They really have to be calm, patient, hands defined, tournaments defined, good management of the bankroll, take notes of other players, read blogs, view vĂdeos, constanltly studying the game and the players. And, of course, to be a good poker player we should also have a litlle bit of lucky than the others.
