Many of the best info/tells can come from slowing down and looking left, a la Tommy Angelo's advice. I can't tell you how many times I get a good read that a limp is going to be raised that let's me fold a weak hand, or allows me to call/reraise with a strong hand. These are just a few examples but so many players will give good info on how much they like their hands.
