FTR is giving away a free Kindle book by the author of "The Poker Mindset", Matthew Hilger. The Kindle book titled "Texas Hold'em Odds and Probabilities: Limit, No-Limit, and Tournament Strategies" is free to FTR members posting in this forum.

This Book is a perfect book for the beginner poker player trying to get better. If you are trying to take your casual poker game to a winning poker game the combination of this book and posting on FTR will do that faster than you could imagine.

To get this Kindle download, all you need to do is make 20 Quality posts combined in the Beginner Circle forum and Small Stakes forum by May 1st then PM me that you want the book. I will check your posting history for that period of time and if you have been a contributing member to the forums to the tune of 20 posts then I will send you the download.

Quality posts will be decided by me. Anyone spamming the forums with minimal word answers or posting all your posts in a single/couple days is not quality. You must contribute, that is all. DO NOT PM for the BOOK UNTIL MAY 1st.

This is the first of many new giveaways by FTR and not all of them will be for beginners or have posting requirements. We may start giving away bonus prizes for previous posters as well, so stay active and stay ready for the prizes

Just to clarify, all 3 of these members qualify:
Member A makes 20 quality posts in the BC.
Member B makes 20 quality posts in Small Stakes.
Member C makes 12 quality posts in the BC and 8 quality posts in Small Stakes.

Many players know that we're 12% to flop at least a set when holding a pocket pair. Page 24 of this book shows the math behind this. It is just one of many examples as to why this book is really cool and practical.

Yes, your post is a reasonable question and it counts. Anything useful counts but obviously something like the posts below would not:
post 1: Hello
post 2: I'm just typing
post 3: random stuff to get a book
...

Amazing how I received at least 10 PM's from people requesting the book when we started this promo but have only received 3 PM's from people to get the book after May 1st.

Amazing promo from FTR, hope lots of people (although previous post would seem otherwise) took advantage to get what looks to be a great foundational resource for poker. Unfortunate that I only signed up to the forum a few hours ago.

Guess my question essentially is to confirm that given its May 6th the deadline (being may 1st) for being able to get this book once having reached the quality post count has been passed?

I look forward to future opportunities.
