it is a shootout so everyone has even stacks. GET 'EM.... STEINER RECLINER!
This is getting ridiculous. This early in, and he's made 2 final tables. And he's that good looking. Life is rigged.
Impressive. I vote max has to start posting a lot in strategy discussions on this forum :)
I agree :D
oh wow, very impressive

must be your internet buddy mine is great :)
gwan max good luck!
Clearly spending any time picking a tie is illogical if you want to final table WSOP events.
it got better now.
If you're running it on firefox that is the problem. Chrome is by and large the best browser now.
I thought you were setting it up...
I'm going to go find a corner to sulk in...
AWWW YISSS GO GET IT!
Max winning the allin, dead on turn. Squarely in second place now. It's cool to watch something poker related while playing.
How long till they're back?
Watching Max, listening to Danny. Pokergasm.
GO GO GO MAX
Max is getting unlucky with the spots he's trying to pick. He 3bet Q2 over aces just now.
FTR shout out by Danny!
Fucking host cut him off!
so only some of us are famous? :(
Not my place to criticize the master but Max seems to be playing a bit too loose, and it's hurting his stack.
I think he needs to lose less chips and win some more
gogogo
Chip Count?
nice shirt / tie combo
he should win just for this alone
Max in last place sadly. I don't understand how he can shove A9s in with 19BBs, I hope he's not frustrated that he's getting no hands whatsoever.
double up
weee
Not the best call there by West, but good for Steinberg. Imo West was going on a read of tilt to make the call with KJs because now he's dead last.
AJ < 66 on JT6r and out..
And he's out :(. A set-up basically, Max AJ other guy 66, flop TPTK and set.
Yah big setup hand for sure, no folding JT6 board with AJ, when so many draws can be raise/calling.
GG Max!
GG congrats on the run
Ok if you put it like that, it's 10BB and understandable. That's probably also why you were doing 48k (4BB) preflop raises, I wouldn't dare to do that out of fear of looking too weak.
It sucked you ran so bad, but big congrats on the second FT at the WSOP :)
Max - were you close to shoving the A8o that you 4x ep and Silverman 3b you LP with AK? There were so many spots railing that final table where in my head I was like "Wow I can see myself doing XYZ"... that spot I would have def been tempted to jam. I really think the ability to turn off any "non-believer" tendencies in tourneys is huge... which I need to work on. Esp given how tight the table was playing.
Also some other spots where ppl were "pot controlling" hands.. but really not pot controlling, because they were just outright folding to one turn bet was also surprising to me. Spots I definitely would have called one or two bets after checking the flop.
GG Max, that was awesome to watch. I agree with Stax. You playing and danny commentating was awesome.
It was a genuinely tough spot but I had basically decided not to jam from the start but just wanted to think about it. It was one of my first 4x raises and I didn't think anyone was going to 3bet me light... yet. Especially Silverman who had clearly just decided to nit it up.
The commentator asked Danny why you tend to open larger than most. Danny really only touched on the fact that by doing so you feel you are more likely to get a HU pot, rather than a multi-way pot. What other reasons do you have for opening larger than most in the later stages of a tournament?
To me it seems like you were playing looser than most, and it just seems logical that the wider your range, the smaller your sizing should typically be. Were you just looking to create extra dead money that you could pick up with your postflop edge?
Unlucky Max, good run and was great fun watching you playing and listening to the commentary
Really enjoyed watching this.
How does the 30min. delay commentary with holecards revealed affect your play? ie. if or when you know villain is say 3-betting wide & he now knows you know, etc. etc.
A bit off-topic but I also really enjoyed the HU with Bax taking it down (even if the gutters kept coming in).... especially liked that raise on the river with 86 vs Q7.
Will be following more closely now, & hoping to see you hit 'another' final table this series!!
I'm going to do an FTR interview soon so I'll save the answers to these questions for that interview.
Awesome.
looks like he's leading the Omaha 8b event

Just let me know if you are looking for a protégé Max. I figure a new tie per hour should be an acceptable rate. If you give enough lessons you might earn enough ties to always have a new one at the final table.
Congrats on advancing to the finals of Event #27!!! Good luck. Hope you take it down!
