I thought all events from May would be only for qualified members.

I think a little unfair we participate in the forum and a lot of people will never involved be able to simply create an account on the day and participate in this event that will give few seats. Much more difficult if everyone can participate.

Your post is understandable, and in an ideal scenario we would have exclusive events that are only open to those who routinely participate on the boards or have a long-established account.

However, in order to have the best chance of keeping these events going, the events need to attract many entrants. Having exclusive events in which only a handful of our Qualified Members enter would be a great value for those who participate, but unfortunately would almost certainly lead to them being cancelled in short order.

The fact that PokerStars is changing its affiliate scheme (effective June 1st) also plays a role in this decision, as affiliate websites such as FlopTurnRiver must focus more heavily on recruiting new players if we want to continue having an important relationship with Stars/Full Tilt (which we do). - Post requirements are set at 20 to be eligible for FTR events.
- Post requirements reduced to 10 at the last minute close to the end of the eligibility period to qualify.
- Now everyone including members with zero posts and brand new members are also given the password for the tournament before the first tournament has even happened.
