I love me some Fantasy Football.

But I self imposed my own FTR FF ban. Apparently I'm too much of a shit-talker or something because another FTR member and I got into it something serious in the playoffs. I thought I was being funny, I'm not so certain he did. Not a fan of what transpired after that.

I think I'd be willing to come back for the $20 range this year.

i will gladly be commish, but would rather not hold the money. Is anyone else willing to do this?

also, check out the scoring, this is the same as the main money league i play in, so I like it but if you have any problems or suggestions, just let me know.

the draft is set for aug 31 at 7 pm, i can move that accordingly to what people want it to be so let me know about that as well. I figure we can all just ship $$s to someone trusted on ftr like an admin or something

How about we make Roco's league $25 and then I'll make another league for $25 also? It sounds like there's enough interest to do two leagues.

This will be a PPR league (if people have a huge problem with this I can change it, however I doubt it will be a problem since dthorne's league last year was PPR AND 6 points per passing TD which this league will not have). Rosters will be:

I changed 3 things from standard yahoo scoring:

1 point for receptions
-1 point for a missed FG
3 points for 300/100/100 yards passing/rushing/receiving and 2 points for 400/200/200 yards passing/rushing/receiving (had this in dthrone's league last year and I have it in the $50 league I do with my friends and it makes it so much more exciting)

Anyway, join the league, we can talk about money later. For now it will be $25 but we can change that if everyone agrees to it, but for now just join with the assumption of it being $25.

The draft is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 5 at 3 pm EST (NFL season starts Thursday Sept. 9). There will be 2 divisions which I will randomly select before the draft after everyone joins. 2 division winners make the playoffs and also the next two teams with the best overall records make it.

I have no problem holding the money for both leagues, I'm not going to Radashack you guys for $500 (I made $700+ in rakeback this past week). Plus I'm friends with spenda, Triptanes and dthorne on facebook and it would not be difficult at all for them to hunt me down :)

not sure if you were counting me or not - but i'm out.

None of the above makes sense (though I guessed QB meant quarterback - the only position I know in US Football), so I'd just be burning $25.

If you are then we have 9 people. So we need one more person. If anyone knows anyone that wants to play, please recruit them. If there is enough interest, I have no problem moving to 12 teams but anything beyond that really thins out the player pool for football.

Received. I don't think we'll have any problems getting a 12th. Worst case is that I get one of my irl friends to join. With 12 teams, 6 will make the playoffs with the 2 division winners getting a bye in the first round. I will update the settings later today.

There will be a timestamp on the sequence (will post screenshot) so you will know that I only generated the sequence once.

I always just go for what I think is the best value for my pick at that time in the draft. Obviously there are going to be certain guys that I like as sleepers and stuff going into the season but I never go into a draft thinking "I need to get player x". It does kind of suck when I'm playing against a player in one league and he's on my team in another but usually that only happens with a couple players per week.

Also guys, I changed the draft time. It's the same day but just later. I sent out an e-mail about it so please let me know if the time doesn't work for you so I know if I need to change it back.

i saw something about payout structure somewhere (cant remember now), i say we make it steeper, more reward for first, no 3rd place money for sure, i do like division winners and 1st and 2nd though...idk how everyone else feels just my .02 imo

With 12 teams I think money for 3rd place makes sense.

The payouts right now are:

$50 to each division winner.
$25 to the other four playoff teams.
$115 for first
$60 to 2nd
$25 to 3rd

This is assuming ttanaka adds $100 to the prize pool. Like kingnat/bode said, I think that with 12 teams, 3rd getting their money back is fine.

I'm going to generate the draft order at 4:40 EST time, 10 minutes from now. I will use the same method as above (same numbers for everyone).

I'm doing a few test runs and random.org seems to be a bit laggy right now so the timestamp might be a couple seconds off.

Alright well, you can see the timestamp is 3 seconds late. I pressed the generate button right on 00 (of my windows clock) and there was 3 seconds of lag. I feel kinda shitty that I got such a high pick but this is the sequence I got.

Also, how does Monday, September 6 at 6:00 EST work for a draft time for everyone? In my two 2p2 leagues, both drafts are Monday nights and no one seemed to have any conflicts with them.

Yeah, online drafts go quick. It will probably only last an hour and a half.

The Monday works for me. An hour earlier would be better, but I should be able to swing it either way.

I can't do it at all on Monday. In an airplane all afternoon and will have been gone for the weekend drinking beer, so need to be full-time dad when I show up at home.
