Please post all movies that are unbelievably awful and should never be watched. I will start:
The Girlfriend Experience (Directed by Steven Soderbergh, about a high end escort who is played by porn star Sasha Grey)
This movie is so horrible I cannot in good conscience stand idly by without warning people of its awfulness.

yeah sounds about right. I thought it would be great but I just found it boring. I watched it on the plane though for what thats worth. I thought the story was ok at first but I felt it just lacked substance. Like they took 1h and a half or however long it was when it could have been accomplished in half the time. i loved stranger than fiction. of course, its not a typical will ferrel movie where he acts like a loud childish idiot (not that its a bad thing) so i see how people might expect the wrong thing from it.

I'm not kidding, I actually considered screaming ' Why are we watching this? Fucking newsnight is on currently, I'd rather watch frigging paxman than this utter excretion of a production, omfg'. I held back and just gritted my teeth but meh, a part of me died that day.

The worst movie I've ever seen is probably "Speed 2," but I can't hate on that type of movie because no one ever meant it to be decent in the first place. Out of movies that are actually trying to be good, "Crash" is by far the worst ever. Watching this movie feels like someone is beating your brain with a sledge hammer.

I liked Stranger than fiction too.
There's this "real time" movie called "Nick of Time" that looked like 24 before Jack Bauer was invented. We rented it and watched it with some good friends. About 30 minutes in, after a couple people made half-hearted this kinda sucks comments, we all just admitted it was horrible and played the rest of the movie as community Mystery Science Theater, pausing/rewinding to mock its horribleness.

Dogma - I like Kevin Smith as a person, but I didn't even make it through this one. When Jesus freaks make a movie about religion, it's bound to fail miserably.
Cloverfield - don't even know what to say. They should have handed out aspirin in the theater. Maybe if you watch lots of MTV you can take it, but I had to look away from the screen a couple of times... it made me feel like a hypnotized chicken.
And I'm really not that picky, I like most movies... but all of the above make Mel Gibson look like a genius.

I like Will Farrell, but Semipro was unwatchable.
I couldn't finish the Planet of the Apes remake.
Fantastic 4 has potential, but the movies are horrible.
I couldn't finish Match Point. I like classic Woody Allen films, but this was waay to slow. Scarlet Johansson is nice to look at though.
I was forced to watch the English Patient (date compromise) and like Elaine from Seinfeld thought it sucked ass.

The Da Vinci Code/Angels and Demons.
There were so many things idiotic about these two movies. They clearly had the chance to be an epic two-part series, but then they did it out of order, acknowledged it in the movies, and did nothing interesting in around 5 hours of screenplay. Oh and btw, Jesus had a daughter and it's easy to kill ppl in public. I fucking hate movies that are OBVIOUSLY SELF-AWARE. It's called suspended belief Mr. Howard, but when it's like Tom Hanks is looking at us winking going "hahaha yea guys remember when I exposed the Catholic church for over a 1,000 years of deceit and murder that should completely destroy the faith-base of 1/6th of the world's population but like lol no one noticed or w/e hey thanks for that book from your archives crazy how it all turns out to be done by two people in each movie."
Oh, and any Jim Carrey/Adam Sandler movie made this decade.

I have only seen it once in the theater, but "The Rules of Attraction" was pretty atrocious... and I'm quite a big fan of indie-like films. I can imagine it might work for some people on some level, but there is so much wrong or un-interesting about the film.. I'd definitely recommend no one see it.
I'd also put Star Wars: Attack of the Clones in a basket of movies that I wish I hadn't watched... Other than Yoda's fight and the playing of the Imperial March (at least I think that's the name of the empire's theme) at the end there was almost nothing redeemable about this movie at all... just further sucking the life (Episode 1 started teh sucking) out of what still is and should've remained a stand-alone trilogy.
As for Red Dawn, I will say Ive only seen it in the last year. I couldnt bare to watch it all. Now there are some 80s movies that were class then but super cheesy now.
But i think its awful.
Epic Movie isnt meant to actually suck otherwise they wouldnt make it.

Louis CK (for example) has the art of throwing a joke together down, Dane (who steals from the aforementioned) has the art of throwing a joke at you down. Why deify one aspect and shun the other? They both take their own form of brilliance.
edit: I loved dane cooks first album and since then ive liked him less and less. But he still shows you that CK's material in the right mouth can be laugh out loud, roll off your chair hilarious. While CK couldn't really deliver a joke that would get me going more than my standard "haha" response. Dane can bring the fire, CK can supply the coal is all im getting at. 1 man comedy is hard to master. Jon Stewart and Conan O'Brien have writers, why not Dane?
