Any other??
Thanks!
I think gabe starts main event today? That's about all I know.
There's a thread for all the other goings on somewhere in this forum.
nutsinho came 2nd in a 6max event for like 500k or something,
there's a wsop thread in the commune somewhere.
Thanks guys!
Actually, I meant about the Main Event only ;-)
I had already seen that nutsinho got a beautifull 2nd place!! :-)
Day 1 has finished so we should quickly know who continues.
Yeah, I saw that it's not mentioning who from FTR is playing ...Quote:

I'm not sure how they're doing but hopefully we will get some updates from the players themselves soon.
am pretty sure IlikeAces is playing, but not sure how he is doing.
i think sauce was playing 200/400 last night so it looks doubtful for him
A little short of 100k in chippersQuote:

Three players saw a {6-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs} flop. It's checked to Christopher Olson who bet 18,000 before Jeffrey Roth moved all-in. The action didn't stop there though as the third player involved, Sylvain Coeur, raised again to 70,000 but this was not enough to isolate Roth as Olson made the call.
The turn {A-Diamonds} saw Coeur bet 100,000 before Olson moved all-in. Coeur made the call with {5-Clubs} {7-Hearts} for the flopped nuts. Olson tabled {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} for a flopped set but in the worst shape of all was Roth who had {J-Spades} {J-Clubs}.
The river came {Q-Spades} before the huge pot was pushed Coeur's way. He's up to 485,000 now whereas Olson is low with 50,000 and Roth is eliminated.
:cry:
ilikeaces up to 141,000
and Shane Warne has 146,000 - go Warney!

Anahit Galajian moved all in from the cutoff after it was folded around to him. Shane Warne called from the button before Steven Landfish reraised enough to put Warne all in. Warne made the call so we had a three-way showdown.
Galajian: {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts}
Warne: {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades}
Landfish: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}
The board ran {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {8-Spades}. The ace was enough to give us a double-knockout including Cricket legend, Shane Warne.
ilikeaces up to 284k!
Only ~70 bustouts left until they're in the money...
goddammit
Still has 50bb though...Quote:
A Royal Battle
A big preflop battle has occurred between Jon Friedberg, Christopher Olson and one other player where all the chips ended up in the middle,
Friedberg revealed {K-Hearts} {K-Spades} to Olson's {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} and their opponent's {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}.
The board ran {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} sending the monster 448,000 pot Friedberg's was. Olson knocked back down to 156,000 and the other player is busted.
digitaldoc2 is still alive as well.. Scott Hair is his name, I think he's chilling around 60k... ONE TIME!

Went for the GOLD but busted... gg man
Went for the Sylver but Came Out With Nothing
The board is out and reads as {9-?} {8-?} {2-?} {K-?} {7-?}. Sylvain Coeur and Christopher Olson are heads up.
Olson moves the last of his chips into the middle with {3-?} {3-?} but Coeur makes the call after hitting two pair with {7-?} {9-?}. Olson was so close to the money but will go home empty-handed.
Coeur is up to 505,000.
:(
he got coolered pretty bad a few times
i want to hear how these hands (44, QQ, 33) played out from aces' perspective. seems like a lot of marginal spots but theres obviously a ton of info left out + reads. good run though man was fun watching updates and you prolly played awesome.

Sick seat cuz Cantu is ultra-aggressive
I recognize the Cantu name, who is it?
He's won a WSOP event, like the first event 2 years ago if I recall correctly. He was also on another broadcast playing all super aggro.
awesome, toaders is in perfect position for the checkraise!
heh, at least we know we're gonna get a lot of live reporting from this table.Quote:

Phil Hellmuth was recently standing up, away from his table, as is his penchant. At a nearby table, Mark Vos asked his opponents whether they thought it would be better to eliminate Hellmuth from the tournament holding the best hand and having it hold up, or holding the worst hand and sucking out. One of the players responded that it would be better to suck out. That player's rationale? "For the rest of your career, every time you see Hellmuth, he'll say, 'Do you remember that hand from the 2008 Main Event...'"
HE CAN DODGE BULLETS BABY???!!!!??Quote:
On a board of 6h5d4d, Phil Hellmuth was involved in a three-way pot with Felix Osterland and Barry Leventhal. Hellmuth checked from middle position and Leventhal moved all in for 399,000. Leventhal said, "If I lose, I'm gonna go to the buffet." There was some additional chit-chat but Osterland eventually folded and the action was on Phil Hellmuth. "I know you got something," said Hellmuth. "I got a bluff," replied Leventhal. After some additonal back-and-forth between the two men, Hellmuth eventually folded Qd7d face up. "Wow! How can you fold that?" asked David Saab from a nearby table. The table encouraged Leventhal to show but he eventually mucked face down.
