It comes out Tuesday, but I'm not getting it since my 360 got the red ring of death 2 weeks ago and I have to wait until Microsoft mails me a new one. Once I do though, we should get a game going since I'm sure I'll get sick of killing Triptanes over and over again since he sucks at FPSs and any video game for that matter (I can only imagine how badly I'm going to crush him when Guitar Hero 3 comes out next month).
I'll be all for it, but not as soon as Tuesday. I need to buy a 360 first and all my spending money is going towards moving this month. But I'm sure no one will be bored of it by then, I'll just suck nuts after no practise.

Ya I preordered legendary and my friend works at gamestop, and he has guaranteed me a copy. My friend is coming down from Dallas Friday for like four days so lots of basketball, flag football, and trying to beat Halo 3 campaign on legendary.

I'm strongly considering buying a 360, not sure exactly how soon it will make financially. It would be for this game and bio-shock.

I never got into the halos. I have 1 and 2 on my orig xbox and just... played like the first level of each..

wow i sent in my xbox 360 10 days ago and using UPS tracking thing, I saw that it got there last thursday. I called on sunday about the status of the repair and the woman said that I should call back later this week, so I just called today and the guy on the phone said that my FUCKING SYSTEM HASN'T GOTTEN THERE YET. This is fucking bullshit because I can see from UPS's site that the damn thing was delivered to the service center so WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK

Halo3 is basically the same game as halo2, only more weapons/vehicles and bigger maps.
Halo 1 was the best game ever and halo2/3 put this masterpiece to shame.

Unfortunately, I can't get on XBox live since there was a car accident near me and it managed to take out all the internet and cable for the whole area. That's ok though since I was probably just going to play single player tonight anyway but I did want to play multiplayer for a little bit, oh well.

Supposedly they fixed the new 360s so they don't break as often. Also, people exaggerate how bad customer support is because they are pissed off that their system broke. It took 3 weeks from when I called my problem in until I had a new 360.
Remember, even though it is frustrating, it's FREE because of the 3-year warrenty on all 360s.
Halo 3 is perfect.
And I really hope they don't get rid of the shotty snipers games on team slayer, but I have a feeling they eventually will because people need something to bitch at and the fact that they shoot the sniper like a blind man certainly doesn't help.

Halo 3 is very -ev. It makes me play way too few hands of poker. Also, they have stated that they will reduce the frequency of shotty snipers.

For those of you that don't know, he sponsors a pro Halo 2 team. This is so great.
He boosted in social doubles to gain experience faster. In my eyes, that's no more cheating than someone who looks at a youtube vid to see how to get the skulls.
Yeah, I guess it's not technically cheating. He is abusing a bug that Bungie needs to fix though.
1 in 3; I like those odds. So I have ordered the Elite and Halo bundle from Amazon, but it's going to take a few weeks to deliver.
In the meantime I am getting second controllers etc., do all you guys have the extra fan kits you can buy? It seems worth £20 if it helps it not break. But I don't think Microsoft approve and am sort of in two minds about them.
Putting extra fans in your console voids your warranty so I wouldn't recommend doing it.

I agree that it would be better overall if they made like Halo 1.1, Halo 1.2, Halo 1.3, etc. However, as awesome as Halo 1 is, Halo 3 is actually better. And I'm like the most diehard Halo 1 player. From what I've heard the arcade version won't have LIVE support. But that seem too stupid to be true.
Halo 3 Map Expansion pack is now available, it'll run you 800 Microsoft points. 3 new maps, I'm downloading them now....might try to put up a review a little later.
Only map worth it is foundry IMO.
Is foundry that underground one from Halo 2? Because I miss that one.

when I played halo 2 online (not long) I used 6 sensitivity. I carried that over to halo 3. I did well.
Lately I've been using a slower sensitivity. Usually 3 or 4 does the trick (3 is the default). On some games (e.g. shotty snipers on Valhalla), I'll drop it down to 2.

I like 2. And I still suck. But 1 is way too slow for open field battle.
2 is way too slow for sniping aswell, ur gonna get owned alot when u get someone behind u
