Just under 100k.
I don't know exactly, but somewhere around $150k
Up around 4k...
Started No limit around Jan or Feb? Up maybe 15-17k from SnGs. Yay!
20-30k somewhere, played a little over two years (more or less serious, 25k is probably from this year alone)
ilikeaces should reply here plz
About $1800 from playing (since Feb), and another $1200 from bonuses.
I am way too willing to donate my stack
I'm up around $6k since March.. Lots of people started around the same time as me it seems.
Up 15K. Started a year ago.
up $2kish since march
+ $2.3K in about 3 and half months.
That is very surprising to me...I'd figure you had made more since you are playing higher stakes, 6-max(which apparently is gold), and better than me.Quote:

Most importantly:
5) I'm still in school, I graduate in December, unlike you where its been over a year. 16 hours in spring, 6 in summer, and 18 in this fall, really disables my ability to focus remain a constant schedule, and play my share of hands.
I've got no excuses, most of the past 2 months have been bad play and some variance. If you add up my June and July (where I had no school, for the most part), they equate to 1/2 of my yearly income. Also, I've sacrificed making money this year for the most part for the intent of increasing my skill level. Such as, I can kill the 100 NL tablings 6-8 tabling more than I can beat the 200 NL games at this time. But really, that doesn't do me any good and I have the BR so I might as well stick it out until I eventually crush the 200 NL games. I can't have this attitude once I graduate as then I will be forced to make as much as possible with little risk. Which means not moving up limits as fast as I could be.
Up a little over a 1/3rd of a Mill.Quote:

Am I the only MO down, give me my money back!!LOL
you aren't mrhappy, but you are the only non winner with a good enough attitude to post it knowing you have work to do
Gabe is right, the posters in this thread are a self-selected sample, so there's a strong bias towards people in the black.Quote:

36k since june of last year.
Cashed out a whole 12k roll to make uni free and have a current br of 24k.
Im also one of the rare few that actually admits to losing money when i first started -$300.
Yeah I definitely dropped over 500$ before I started building my BR. I think I've made about 24K since I started less than a year ago but hard to say since I live off my roll and make regular cashouts to uhh...eat and stuff.
My working bankroll has been hovering between 9-13K.
I also just permanently moved up to 400 NL 6-Max. So far so good.
I also have to add that i dropped about 300$ before i started winning.
I was only down $30 at worst while I learned but I did drop down to +$7 at one point after a good start.
I estimate $400 down before bringing it back. Had to start over at $10 and work my way up.
I have started out on a downturn each time I move up. Then I get rolling.
+15k since jan 1. cashed out 7k so far. bought 2 computers, car payments, rent, 3 monitors. 1 vacation. 2 sets of rollerblades.
just hit +13k
Okay. Just so you know I hate you all.
Very, very much.
According to PT my career total is now -$499.
It was -$500 this morning, but because I'm up $4 from 400 hands of $0.50/$1 on Party I have dipped back under (over?) the -$500 mark.
Because I'm a bonus and rakeback whore my BR is is about $1000 (from $0 deposit). I've cashed out $300 once... so over all I'm +$1300 or so lifetime...
I was down 2k before doing it right... Through small deposits...
I lost my initial deposit of 200NOK(=~30$ lol) somewhere in the autumn of 2005. Redeposited during christmas, and this is where I consider my poker career to have started. That was the time when I really started focusing.
Still, it took me five months to realize that I'm not really cut out for SnG's, as I struggled to break even in the $5.50's (!). So in late april/early may I decided to take a month just playing cash games and whoring bonuses, and started out at 10NL with a bankroll of 250$. That switch has been the best thing to happen to my poker career, from then on I'm up ~10k in poker including bonuses and a 2k stars milestone hand win that I've cashed out.
Also started casino whoring in the end of may, I've now got a ~4k casino roll after cashing out 5.5k.
I'm gonna take this chance to say a big "THANK YOU FTR"!
Don't let him fool you... We really don't like black people. If anything there is a strong bias against them. Even the pseudo-blacks like Boost can't escape this reality.Quote:

Since I started playing seriously about 1 1/2 months ago, I'm up $350.
started playing Jan 1 2006, played $5.50 sng's on stars with a $70 bankroll...January + February were losing months, in March i started playing $25nl FR cash games, by May 1 i turned $150 into $1500, cashed out my roll...May 3rd to now, i have made about $12k and im playing $200nl with a $8000 roll.
I'm up ~30k
I'm the bad pro player... :)
I was doing good in ring till I went to SnG/MTTs for like 6 months figured I made far more in ring, so moved back... and found out that I SUCK at ring now...
Heh, ask again in 6 months and I expect to have my ring game fixed, and be back to making good money.

Thanks to FTR members and / Aokronology / Lukie/ Renton. Reading these posts and listeneing to feed back.
Now I'm only down, $785
I plan to keep at the .05/.10 for a little while more, hopefully if I can get my BR up some more.

*this is kinda arbitrary accounting, as I did have the money for all these outside my BR, but I like the idea of poker meaning I can afford nice things - and in any case, there's no WAY I am moving above $100NL in the foreseeable future, so $2.5k is easily enough for the time being
Why?Quote:

Currently playing 50NL
Why? Because I haven't even managed to beat/play enough hands at $100 yet, and I have little doubt that the lack of confidence that kept me at £25NL for 80k hands will prevent me moving further up any time soon. Also, poker kinda stops being a fun hobby when there are large sums of money involved and I don't want it to.
Only up by about 20% since starting to play in July. I think my biggest problem is table selection as when I play its really early in the US or early morning in Europe. The tables are tight & rockish. Tried to drop down to $10NL 6-max on Titan yesterday but they are folding BIG hands!! I think Bodog or Pokerstars are much better and I should just stop trying to clear that Titan bonus. Also on Titan yesterday a $10+1 SNG and by 100/200 blinds (starting stack 1000) there are still 8 players left!!
Biondino has probably the most experience on FTR at the $25NL level and he's teaching me to beat it. I have nothing to lose and $$$ to gain by moving up, so when the time comes, the teacher will become the student. :mischief:
I passed the $100k mark a couple months ago after 2 years and 11 months of playing online. It took me ~$900-$1100 to lose to start winning. Most of my winnings have come from donkaments but I'm getting better at cash games. I've played for a living from Feb. 04-Sept. 04, and I've been playing for a living from Jan 05-present.
I played 100NL in June this year. I'd never thought I'd beat 400NL by this time, or even imagine playing for these sums. Now I do. It just happened. It's much more fun now, trust me :D When you get over the scared part and realize that you can beat a higher stake, it gets less scary and you get more $$$. Don't be afraid, at least give the thought a chance. If you always think you don't have the confidence, you'll never get it.Quote:

The rest are about being comfortable, and I am very confident that biondino (or anyone) will be able to settle down at a higher level after a few 1000 hands.
IMHO when you are really comfortable at a level you should be looking to move up.
For me that's not true. Right now I'm having more fun breaking even (and quite possibly losing long-term, too early to tell) at 200NL than I ever had beating 25NL. People are different, of course, but I believe that one of the first things you should learn as a poker player is to distance yourself somewhat from the money involved.Quote:

Yeah, if it's unclear I'll explicitly state that I have no disrespect for biondino what so ever.
But this thing is moving off topic fast, how 'bout continuing this discussion in bio's blog comment thread? http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-44273.htm
