I went to The Standard yesterday evening, a hip hotel bar with a rooftop lounge that has a view of downtown Los Angeles. I was entertaining a lady friend visiting from Costa Rica. She'd never been outside of Central America before, so I had to show her this incredible view. By the time we got there, they had a dress code -- no shorts or sandals, both of which I was wearing, as I had been out all day with her, showing her around Hollywood. I pleaded with them and explained my situation. They said no.

I walked around the parking lot for a few minutes until the line dissipated, then returned to the bouncer and handed him a hundred-dollar-bill and asked again if I could get in. Sure enough, he gave me a wristband and said something about having to explain that I was a hotel guest if anyone asked upstairs why I was there with shorts and sandals (I was the only one not dressed up)... whatever.

I was there for 30 minutes to watch the sun set over the city and have a couple of drinks before we bounced out of there.

My friend loved the view.

Yea 17 days seems like a long time but I do this yearly and maui doesn't ever get old for me until after about a month. Swell apparently just hit so as soon as I get off the plan tommorrow I'm grabbing a body board and am going to attempt to tackle this 6-8 foot haole busters head on.

ok, so I have a little story to tell, I dont know if its BOC..
any ways, my brother had to go to work this morning, he lives about 3 miles from me now.( Sunday Morn) any ways, he's 39 and I'm 35, not that that matters but He needed to be at work for 7 am.
so anyways I was awake early and decided to grab my paint ball gun and head over to his house. It was probly 6am. It felt like I was outside of his house for an hour before he walked out to his truck, but.............when he did, it was amazing. I have this new paintball barrel, a flatline for my tippman 98, anyways I had it dialed in so awesomely I must have been 50 yards from his truck.
When I saw him walk out of his house with his coffeee in his hand I almost shitmyself. But anyways, I have this laser dot scope hooked up to my paintball gun and BAM, I SHOT HIM RIGHT IN THE BACK OF HIS Head today.!!!!!
I never seen someone sooooooooo pissed off before!!!! well this was alot of fun
then later today I tought my Brother in law( a State Trooper) how to play animal.!!!
too much fun in one day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You just need to make it so it's like it never happened. Like paying a carpet cleaning bill or whatever. I blasted the inside of a friend's car once years ago and I paid to have the inside detailed even though it was a crapped out 1980 Hyundi Stellar.

i was running to the sink so i could let it out there and couldnt hold it all down on the way there, it wasnt like it was all over the carpet but there was some im sure. also a friend got some on the side of his car after i threw up on that too while he drove me home.

those two are good friends so maybe next time i see them together at bar i just buy them both a drink or something??

nah not gonna earn anything. Its a bachelors program, its costing me something like 22k a year for ~3 1/2 years. Its full time and pretty intense, so I really would like to just focus on it and hopefully make a lil change playing poker. You can go to culinary bachelor programs for a lil cheaper, but youre not gonna get the same facilities. Im starting on monday, Ill have to bring my camera and take some pics, this place is bananas son.

Not a chance dude. If you live on an USMC base and can drink anyone in sight under the table, sweet. You're the heaviest drinker in a world of badasses. But if you think there is any chance that an elite corps of college coeds would be impressed by your drinking, you're crazy.

You're way too in shape and can't invest the 5+ days a week of drinking that many college students can afford. My roommate is a marine and the only time he was ever on par with the rest of us was when he spent 1 month really living it up while developing a magnificent beer belly. But you just don't have the luxury of a beer belly.

1) Congrats boost, I think it's awesome you're going to school for something you love. Sounds like a BOC school. GL sir.

2) Drinking theory. More muscle allows you to metabolize the alcohol faster, more fat allows you to absorb the alcohol faster. Thus someone with a beer gut should be better at chugging without getting blitzed immediately, someone with muscle should be able to drink longer, but if it's too fast it goes to the head.

Maybe it does go to my head. I just puke and drink some more. Now that's drinking theory.


We actually have a beer pong tourney this weekend. It's gonna be huge!!

And as far as college kids, I went to college for three semesters, and can drink way more now. It's not something I'm proud of. Personally, I'd rather be able to get drunk faster. It's much more ballin' to be constantly wasted, and not have to pay out the a** for it.

Well, from what I see (my roommate, the corps of cadets on campus and history channel band of brothers where the guy says they were all in such crazy shape 1 beer got them drunk) military types don't handle the boozes very well and I stand by my claim that a respectable corps of drinking collegiate kids could probably one up the military parallel.

Also, this is with respect to 20~22 year olds. You could probably find a bunch of 28 yr olds who rock at drinking.

BOC story.

Allright so I'm in Maui, first day I touch down and a swell is raging with shorebreaks topping out at around 10 feet, but your average set is probably in the 6-7 range. The last couple of days has been filled with shredding waves in all various forms; surfing, bodyboarding and skimboarding until I tweaked my knee yesterday.

Even more balling, met 4 college girls with their own room across the way. All of them are completely gorgeous and I have been hooking up with the italian one;)

One of the girls dad's friends lives on the island and has all kinds or ridiculous hook ups. We got into an 85 dollar show free last nite with a group of 6. They were serving pina coladas in a pineapple for 12 bucks with unlimited refills. Me and my buddy set the over under at 4 and he took the under against me. FOOL.

After tasting the coladas we had to make a deal for the bar tender to put 3 shots in them instead of 2 because it was still pretty week. Anyways I wind up winning and get paid plus have a little intimacy on the beach, in the elveator etc etc.
