Totally... I knew one could order them on a sushi menu, but i didn't realize my local fish guy could get them fresh enough. I considered putting a little lemon juice on them to 'cold cook' them a bit, but decided against it. The texture was obviously very different, which bothered the wife, but I thought the flavor was very good.Quote:

holy shit, how much does 495lbs of lobster cost?
also, a TR full of pictures is required.
I had a full 2 lb lobster the other day at dinner ($40 for it ... is that a rip off?) and it was the most funny thing ever because I had no idea what I was doing. I had no idea how to crack it and actually eat it! The waiter had to coach me through my meal pretty much. It was soooo amazing and so worth it though.
495lbs * approx $10 lb = $4950.00 USDQuote:

sounds like it was not a rip off. :DQuote:

I can verify flomo's pricing... lobster is just under $6 here, and was as low as $4 last fall.Quote:

Sir, you need to quit posting these things on facebook.
Each time I seen this, I want to cry, or eat. Or both.
I'd invite you over to eat, Chelle, but you're with that Jesse douchebag.

Shit! I get live 1lb chicks through work for under 10$ a piece and thats a steal. Live lobster at a fish monger in Chicago is likely to be over $20/lb.
edit: don't have many pics uploaded from the dinners, but heres one of the amuse we did on our first menu.
