youre pants on legs smart
I C wat U did there.
if you're referring to the american series, get your mits on the australian one. it may be a little bit too culturally-specific, but i think its infinitely better than what i've seen of the american adaptation. most of the funnier bits in the american one are re-used from the australian series anyway.
so ends the days of entourage. they were enjoyable
Star-ving with David Faustino.
One season of 10 min. episodes in freakishly bad taste.
Apparently Crackle.com bought them. I can't visit cos of local restrictions, but I'm sure it's worth checking out. No TV channel would have let them do that.
Here's the pilot:
Star-Ving (Ind. Performance by Ed O'Neil) - YouTube
Watch on crackle if you can.
workaholics back onnnnn
Boardwalk Empire never disappoints. Going to be a hell of a season I think.
Oh. My. Fucking. God.
Tonight's Breaking Bad was the best episode of any show ever in the history of television. This shit is better than even the best big picture cinema has to offer
^^ omg haven't seen it yet, but this season has already been insane so far. can't wait.
Ya, BB was pretty fucking amazing. I think it's for sure in the running for GOAT TV series episode.
Yeah, fuckin hell, both the last two were amazing. Frustrating wait now, which is why I prefer watching a series once it's already been aired.
Breaking Bad seasons 1-3 now on Netflix. Time to play catch up.
This episode of Wilfred was genius: Hulu - Wilfred: Pride - Watch the full episode now.
The last episode of the WTF podcast with Marc Maron has a great interview with Brian Cranston (Breaking Bad).
Two days left until the final episode of season 4!
"I'm day-drunk, get ready to see my diick"
hooray for the return of the league
Season finale of Breaking Bad... insanity
Whatever you wanted it to be, it's even better.
Good, haven't watched this season yet, it's always had me hating that there were no more episodes. I've waited for the season to finish to watch them all.
two eps in both American Horror Story on FX and Homeland on Showtime have been really really good.
I haven't watched the second episode of American Horror Story, but I really didn't care for the first one. It wasn't good enough to be awesome or bad enough to be funny.
Season 2 of The Walking Dead has started.
Let's hope they fired the entire writing staff, scratched everything and continue from episode two of the first season.
Just watching Season 1 of The Walking Dead now. On Ep 5. The old man (have I ever heard his name?!?) is so typical but I might cry when he dies.
lold good at this whole thing. spoilers if you aint seen latest walking dead
actually not spoilers since the show itself is spoil
That was pretty funny altho I did like the first episode somewhat. For me one of the funnest parts of watching zombi flicks has always been shouting at the dumb blonde girl for getting herself killed stupidly.
wow, wuf.. I threw up hands up in disgusts and vowed that I would not watch another fucking episode of this piece of shit show. But if that guy really writes these summaries for each ep, it may be worth it to keep going just for the luls.
Oskar, I'm not sure what you're smoking, but this show is truly awful. Besides the zombie makeup/cg, everything is awful. I was trying to brainstorm the hallmarks of a solid quality zombie flick, and I just wasn't sure what that list would look like-- but one thing I did know, Walking Dead has none of those hallmarks. I don't know what it is.. but I have never once been on the edge of my seat.. And I mean, seriously, what the fuck is up with the Burger King Kid's Club cast? Kid's should be some of the first to die, and if they are survivors they should be hardened, dark, angry, little fucks, not innocent little bundles of sunshine who sit around ready to serve up a big dose of cuteness relief. I just-- I'm just baffled that this shit got the green light in the first place. Here's a pitch of the century, "Ok, so we are going to take a gratuitously violent sub-genre that resonates with the male 12-30 demographic, and get this, we'll have a cast and writing that appeals to the family values crowd. Think Dawn of the Dead meets 7th Heaven, how can we go wrong?!"
p.s. fuck that deer scene, and fuck that little button nosed product of Generically Cute Industries LLC.
You can say what you want about the last episode, but you cannot deny that it was a huge improvement over the end of last season! They had set the bar so freakishly low that even they couldn't limbo under it.
And maybe I found it tolearble because I recently watched the season finale of True Blood who had themselves in a similar predicament where I thought: This is soon going to be so bad, it's going back to good again; but it ended up being so bad, it went right past good and back to bad again. I couldn't even finish it.
So by contrast I found The Walking Dead quite entertaining. It is yet to be seen how it works out once I wake up in the morning and the fat chick that was with her last night is cancelled.
Yeah, excellent recap. The Harley was abso ridic.
About the show, meh, it's mildly entertaining fluff with blood. I don't need art every minute of my day.
That redneck dared ride Japanese? Talk about unbelievable!
duuuuuude... what if we could convince Michael Kenneth Williams to reprise his role as Omar in a zombie apocalypse show/movie and clear it with David Simon/whoever has rights to the character? I mean, that would just be amazing.
This thought made me think about Omar's shotgun. That is a big thing that WD is missing: weapon customization. It's a fucking staple of zombie fiction. Some douchebag who continues to wear his Sheriff's hat and holster his lame revolver on his belt is just not doing it for me. We need shawed offs, two machine guns duct taped together, heavily armed bad ass, zombie-eradicating, motherfuckers.
Fuck this show.
My biggest thing is that the black guy is still so chubby. Really?
If not Omar, since we're in the AMC universe, let's get some Mike from Breaking Bad.
Guy on 2p2 said it best when the show would be good if it was a zombie flick with bad drama, but it's a bad drama with zombies. I've even had some hard time figuring out why I hate it so much because like the deer scene is some of the worst shit in anything ever, yet I guess because it's apocalypse land I'm like whatever
My guess is that the show sucks because of producers. There's probably a lot of quarreling, half the hired writers don't know anything about zombies or survival stuff, yadda yadda. So they're incapable of doing anything other than making a cheesy drama because that's what you get when networks tackle new things because the bosses are all just lawyers and accountants who don't understand art and entertainment or anything outside conventional
"Do we have to always see the zombies, can't we just hear them sometimes?"
not a direct quote, but supposedly this was written in the notes of one of the scripts by a network bigwig or producer or whatever... I mean, fuck.. they just don't get it. Yet the ratings just keep piling up, breaking records, etc.
Walking Dead is another show that falls into the "It Would've Been Awesome If HBO Produced It" category.
Boss on Starz looks like it has some potential.
Spartacus S1 is actually pretty good so far!! Anyone see S2?
Spartacus S1 is pretty awesome. Didn't think they came out with s2 yet? :O
i thoroughly enjoyed spartacus
Am confused... I got the impression from last year that Walking Dead was goot, and have been chomping at the bit to watch it... and now, after 1 episode into S2, it's awful? wut happen?
I wanted, desperately, to enjoy it... pretty sure I realized the show was a lost cause before the end of season 1, but it was quite clear after the premiere of season 2 that it's for sure awful. That being said, there are definitely worse shows. I watched the premiere of Terra Nova and Falling Skies as well... and those shows take awful to new unexplored depths.
Looks like it is time for me to quit watching Dexter... ;(
another A+ ep of family guy imo!
What's going on with Dexter? Is it really that bad? Watched first five seasons, and seriously doubt I can handle more of that crap
I watched first ep this year and liked it better than last year, but may have been because my expectations just keep getting lower. last 4 eps sitting on the tivo now. I feel like they needed to add something to the show but every time they try a plot with one of the other chars it just sucks.
I still like dexter, wtf
boardwalk emps been quietly having a good season imo
Dexter has been cookie-cutter bad. The show just lacks quality in some many areas.
I've given up on that Walking Dead show. I stopped caring the moment the black guy mortally wounded himself sitting down. As a guy who bangs and cuts himself due to overwhelming negligence for his surroundings all the time, it takes a significant amount of stupid to slice your arm like that.
House has been solid.
Aside from Community and South Park, there's not much good TV out there. Where's Archer?
the new beavis & butthead has been surprisingly funny -- and I was never rly a fan when they were on in the 90s.
Parks & rec is hilarious, this season of sons of anarchy is great. Southpark is hit & miss like always, but the broadway beejers ep was gold. Community...geh, I feel like it's losing steam. They're trying to step everything up, make it more extreme and it's become a caricature.
im actually really digging boardwalk, but have a big damn problem in that i cant find a torrent with subs. so i end up getting so behind on the eps because i just cant bring myself to watch while knowing im gonna miss half the dialogue. sucks because this second season is waaaaaay better than the first, and gearing up to be a top ten drama easily
Anybody watching sons this season? It's actually pretty fucking good.
Penn and Teller's Fool Us is pretty cool. I'm not a big fan of Bullshit, but I do like their act a lot. They have successfully avoided making it look like a casting show. There are a ton of clips on youtube if you don't want to commit to downloading a whole episode.
friends! please settle a debate for me.
In the show Mad Men rank in order of awesomeness the 3 main men in the show.
wat
Is that the thing where for some inexplicable reason some british don't understand americans and vice versa?
I just brought myself to give dexter another chance and watched the second episode of this season. It gives me turrets. The show would be 500% better if you could just turn off dexter's internal monologue, but I fear it would still be crap. I didn't think it was amazing before, but this season is just utter crap.
And WOOT! to Beavis and Butthead being back. I completely missed that.
Is what that thing?
I miss a lot of words in BWE because I have a genetic hearing disability and the show particularly uses mumbling in their dialogue. I have to use subtitles or closed captions for dramas for this reason. A handful of shows do not fail at this though. Like Breaking Bad; the directing was so excellent that they realized that mumbling dialogue is retarded. Or Peter Dinklage in Game of Thrones; I can understand every single thing he says because he's a dwarf who learned that in order to get a word in, he has to know how to speak with full coherence.
mfgbfmbfmgwufwugysacockgobllermbfgmbgmfg
Too bad about the hearing thing buddy.
TOO BAD TO HEAR THAT WUF. ARE YOU OK? CAN I GET YOU SOMETHING?
haha jokes about disabilities are fun; you cocksucker
I think that is a thing. I noticed it first with Top Gear torrents. Lots of them have subtitles enabled even tho they come from english speaking sources. - so that was my first guess. Did not know you were a retarded.
I'm pretty sure I've never liked a woman's character in any TV show. I'm thinking Sopranos and Breaking Bad right about meow (the wives seriously seem like the same character).
Actually, Ari's wife was OK with me...sometimes.
You can't possibly not like the grocery girl in Raising Hope. Pam in the first couple of seasons of The Office. Skyler from Breaking Bad in the last season at least. Roseanne and Darlene - It's been some time, but for what it was this series was extremely well done.
I could come up with a couple more. I think it's a pretty even distribution across the sexes. Idk what that makes me... a bit less gay than Boog perhaps?
Comedies don't count.
Haven't seen last season of Breaking Bad so please to not spoil.
Watched the first 4 episodes of Breaking Bad for the first time ever yesterday. Am shutting it off until the series is done. Can't stand watching a show this good while it's still in production (I recently made this mistake with Mad Men but I didn't know it was such a quality show).
wtf
This is correct
I used to defend marathoning to the death, but really it's only better in that it's easier. A great show week to week is oh so much better that way
A problem, however, is season to season. Audiences simply forget a lot about the show in several months time. Networks need a new paradigm where they take a handful of couple week breaks and just one like five/six week break between seasons
Yea, I have found that I prefer to watch whole series most of the time. The breaks between seasons of Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Entourage have been killing me. Watching series like The Wire, Six Feet Under and Always Sunny was the way to go. Besides, I have so many to catch up on that I don't need to be watching the good shows now. Hell I haven't watched a single episode of Sapranos, Lost or Dexter yet.
Not sure if you can say bunch of seasons. Season one could have just been good due to novelty, season two for running a little deeper, but season three and on it became excruciatingly clear that the dialogue and characters were a disaster
Wrong. Dexter was still good until two seasons ago.
Season 3 antagonist was awful
The last Dexter was by far the best of the season. Still not quite great. I just wish he didn't win out over his one voice and fall back into his other. Kinda wish they gave him a few episodes to explore the darker side of things.
off topic, but zomg I haven't seen that yet. I thought they were being retarded when they took her first video off youtube and tried to rework her into an actual teen star rather than realizing that they had created something greater than themselves and just rolled with it.
But looking at this... they so redeemed themselves. And they don't even realize what they have done. This is the fabled monkey on the typewriter that rewrites Hamlet. This is like runner runner quads under a double rainbow. How did they manage to do it twice?!
*clicks replay the third time*
*SPOILER ALERT* Insignificant characters might or might not get killed by Dexter. *SPOILER ALERT*
Agreed. I think if they were a bit more ballsy with his character, they could turn the show around. They already have managed to make Dexter a sympathetic character despite him being a compulsive killer. When he took out the guy in the boat house for no real reason after his wife was killed, I think that would have been a good turning point.
I still haven't given up on the show despite my better judgement. They undoubtably have the talent to make it a great show, it's just lacking direction and the writing on a couple of recent shows should not have passed quality control.
^^^You should probably edit that shit for spoilers since some haven't watched Dexter and are planning on it
Hate when people don't use spoiler alerts.
does anyone watch Happy Endings? One of the better comedies on atm
yeah happy endings keeps getting better.
I watched the first half of happy endings S1 and it was ok, but I gave up on it. It had too much of a cliche sitcom kinda feel to it, despite the single-camera production. Not that bad, but...Iunno. not that great either.
Regarding dexter, I thought seasons 1, 2, and 4 were quite strong. Three and 5 were passable, this season seems absolutely horrific.
The Good Wife is pretty good if you're into lawyerish stuff. Not as good a Boston Legal but worth a watch!
How's Curb this season?
latest season of curb was f'n gold. rly rly solid.
I just became a big fan of Justified. Not sure why this isn't more popular.
