while we might not care, don't make light of the situation, still sucks that someone died
I'm too busy watching Mike Tomlin gamble our win away to care about another celebrity death.
edit if you're watching, I like the decision. You'd never expect it and you'd rather have our offense close out the game. Just have to execute it.
yes, she is dead, and it sucks that she is dead, but why does she deserve acknowledgment and attention over the millions of other people who died today?Quote:

b/c she's famous, are you seriously asking that question?Quote:

I think you need to reread the question. It is "why does she deserve" not "why is she getting"
Also Ill make all the brittany murphy jokes I fucking want. If I dont feel bad about making aids jokes, or starving children jokes, or dead baby jokes, why the fuck should I care to censor my humor when it comes to michael jackson, anna nicole smith, or any other dead celebrity?
This sums up my feelings about celebrities quite nicely

is it bad that i had to google/wiki "brittany murphy" to find out both who she is and how/when she died?
you shouldn't, doesn't make you a good person b/c you hate on everyone equally thoughQuote:

i hope when i die people aren't afraid to crack a joke about me. especially if i die in a really strange or silly way!
fame is an extremely strange concept in our society. that's all i'm sayin'. and boost, aids is finally funny, didn't ya know?
oh you just had to go and play the race cardQuote:

Brittany Murphy deserves tons of coverage because way more people care about her death than when John Smith from Anytown, MI dies. How is that not obvious? Media fulfilling its social obligation, ldo.
I can't understand the antagonism on FTR about celebrity death, but w/e. To each their own.
Also, lol cuisine+ethics

why does it not play for me :(
You have to run the ninjavideo.net helper beta applet thingy
"In species where forced copulation is common, males have evolved longer penises, but females have coevolved convoluted vaginas with dead-end cul-de-sacs and spirals in the opposite direction of the male penis," said Patricia L.R. Brennan, a researcher in the Yale Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

Brother got me the DVDs for Code Geass. It's an anime. I'm already like 15 episodes in and it's really awesome. I'm sure some people around here will like it and I'm sure you can find it free on the internets.
So I've been working on this blanket for a few months now. I'm crocheting which involves a needle and some yarn.

On Boxing Day I watched Inglorious Basterds (typical overhyped, pointless Tarantino, imo...glad I didn't pay for it) and Wall E ( with a quibble: a spaceship based human colony with no natural resources would not eject recyclables into space, but I'm perfectly willing to believe that a robot trash compacter would watch 20th century musicals and fall in love. Also loved the original Mac boot-up sound WallE makes).Quote:

Super depressing movie, wife hated it because "there was no happiness to it at all." I still enjoyed the hell out of it.
plus Marisa Tomei gets nekked and looks pretty good for being in her 40s.
Marisa Tomei was the bomb in My Cousin Vinny
And UG you should get your wife to watch a movie called Happiness
and Irreversible
and Oldboy
and Ichi the Killer
they'll fill her with joy
I'm going to Atlanta with my brother for New Years. Anyone live in or frequent that area and know some good spots? We're staying in Buckhead fwiw
P.s. Trying to keep the places gf friendly
yesterday i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, so that's interesting. soon i have to go to a specialist in boone, nc, which is about an hour and a half drive away from me. totally gay.
thanks for explaining what the fuck "fibromyalgia" is..
boost, I asked my wife and she said: Fibromyalgia is a common condition characterized by long-term, body-wide pain and tender points in joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues.
I actually took that from an online dictionary, but it was almost spot-on with what she said. She's an ER Nurse and her half-sister has fibromyalgia, so she knows a lot about the condition. The ER Nurse in her says that lots of people claim to have it to get more pills/meds. She sees it all the time. But the half-sister in her knows that it's a pretty shitty thing to have, I mean we've seen it up close and personal with somebody that is absolutely NOT doing it for pills/meds, etc...It's totally non-life threatening, but still not fun to have and I'm sure Chelle can elaborate on that if she wishes.
I wish you luck, Chelle!
since this is the thread of randomness, and why I originally came here....my question is: why the fuck are bad guys in movies such bad shots? I mean seriously. I just watched the movie "Taken." The movie was pretty "meh" but kind of entertaining. But seriously, I think there were at least five scenes with dudes railing down machine gun fire on the main character and EVERY FUCKING SHOT MISSED.
Really?
REALLY?
I understand these weapons are powerful and the "kick" these weapons generate is outstanding....but seriously, not ONE FUCKING SHOT OUT OF THOUSANDS OF BULLETS hits this mother fucker? C'mon.
Other than that it was ok, I guess.
Thanks guys.
Yeah, I know of someone that claims to have it just to get the pills. She also acted like she needed crutches to walk, but now she walks just fine. She was also able to get disability for a period of time.
But basically, the pain I have is usually on a scale of about 6 on a 1-10 pain scale. I was put on this medication Lyrica and I feel better than I have in about a year. I don't complain about hurting, unless it's super bad. I finally just have had enough, told my doctor about it, and she said it sounds exactly like fibromyalgia, gave me the prescription for now, and I'm going to be going to that specialist.
Anyway!!!!!!!!!!! Cause I don't like talking about myself that much, lol.
Happy new years and stuff :)
Hopefully you don't think I was implying you were doing this for meds, lol, just saying that's what my wife the ER Nurse sees all the time.
Good luck with everything, sorry you're in pain sometimes/all the time!
Happy New Year to you and stuff too! and spoonitnow as well!
Ive been going with a group of people the past 3 saturdays to this small 8 lane bowling alley where you score by hand and theres a framed big lebowski poster on the wall. Anyways, I got a 176 last saturday! I know thats not amazing or anything, but breaking 100 is a big deal for me! I think Ive actually kinda figured out how to bowl consistently. Maybe Ill break 200 next saturday? :)
edit: lol Im such a bowling newb. I just googled "whats a good bowling score" and found out on wikianswers that if you got all spares you score would only be 200, so I guess my chances of breaking 200 are pretty low, but this also means a 176 is a pretty awesome score!
For an amatuer bowler a 176 is an AWESOME score. Spares are the key for consistently high scores.
I play on a league every monday, so you do get better with practice... My current average is sitting at 198, best game is a 279! I've been really close to shooting a 300 game a couple times, but haven't got it yet.

Millions of people die every day, completely unnoticed by me, but it's crazy how the death of one person can effect my friends and family so much. I know he doesn't post much around here, but best wishes to mrickett (some of you met him in Vegas) his father passed away yesterday after 56 years of life.
I'm so over new years, all I want to do is chill, watch sports, and hang out with a few good friends but nooooooooooooooooooooooo. I'm sure if I was in a relationship I'd be all giddy about doing something but it's just turning into another day for me now.
Sorry to hear that, take care guys.Quote:
