hehe thx guys. words can t describe how tilted I was last night. I owned hard in my first 2 sessions back then lost it all and then some in a single session... almost all to Geo (u know how that feels obv) and some guy who kept calling oop and check-shoving any pair, gutter etc vs my overpairs.
the guy twice ran 200$ into 1500$ and then left. anyways it's over now... back to the grind baby.
Oh man.. geo owns my life.... he runs like goddd.. moreso than Rav even!
made it back and then some tonight. shipit.
lol obvQuote:

Maybe the massive swing I had this week helped to be a bit equanimous in the face of more and more variance.
I still don't have HEM running so I can't say how many hands I've played, but it's probably close to 20k in 5 days (something like 7k mpps) and I have to say it feels great.
Plo has been amazing ; I've added hero calls to my basic set of tools. There's nothing as sick as playing late-night sessions vs drunk bastards who will literally never fold anything pre or postflop pre-river. For those of you who've been kept to the world of no-limit, a fish who chases stuff is a virtually limitless proposition in plo. Gutterball you say? Fuck the gutterball, he's got TWO back door FD's to go with it. I CALL.
My results still haven't been all that good but I feel a hunger to play that is unlike anything I can remember for a very long time. Hopefully I can find time and run with this.
Peace.
So I doubled my online BR in about 12 days of playing after finishing up some school shit.
Right now my main site just switched software and I'm kind of disappointed. Not only does the new software fking blow but I got my AA cracked in the ver first orbit trying it out!
Either way, I won't be playing much between now and June. This sucks because I feel awesome about my game, both in NL and PLO but hopefully I can put in a few hands here and there and stay sharp for an intense summer grind.
Gl at the tables.
Nice couple of weeks ;).
Shitty software sucks :(.
man u have no idea
as Griffey so eloquently put it, us Interpoker regs just went from awesome software, amazing support and good games to fk my life.
godd damn we got ownnnnnd harrrrrrd ... fkfkkfkffkfQuote:

On most sites, reassuring comments from support are empty, but Interpoker support is so legendary that I'm pretty pumped.
HOWEVER, the most important news is that after miraculously saving my sportsbetting account, I WENT 0 FOR 8 IN YESTERDAY'S NCAA ACTION.
I mean seriously, you have to try really really hard to blank 8 flips (I was betting point spread).
What did inter support say they were going to fix?
I still haven't given Boss a go yet..... maybe today...
the clutter around the betting menu. I like the greater speed of the new network and I think game selection is a little better. also it's not HUD compatible so ppl can't get stats as easily, which favours me since I don't use any.Quote:

ya that s kind of why I like it
Sooo from what i hear... Boss isn't compatible with HEM but it IS compatible with PT3.. so people definitely have stats I'd imagine!
wtv i don t think i ll be using stats anytime soonQuote:

The past two times I played, I think I've gotten dangerously close to overaggro spewtardedness. I'm gonna have to watch this.
GOGO GADGET NITBOT.
glad to hear somebody is running hot, other than rav, haha. im going to be flying into montreal on the 24th of April, hopefully you guys are all around
also, since when have you not used stats? ive never really understood that. i mean, i get why relying on stats too much is a bad thing, but wouldnt you gain at least something by having some stats? i just see it as something that cant hurt when kept in check, which im sure you would
playing without stats forces me to avoid ever going into bot-mode
sounds great for the 24th.
Just tried out the new Inter software and I dropped seriously like 6k euros in the first 2 hours on the site. I was seriously wondering if it was rigged until I made most of it back in the next 4 hours. It has so many bad things about it I can't name them, but the games are good for sure. If they can change a few basic things like how fucking fast it is (8 tabling is nigh impossible and even 6 tabling is a recipe for a timeout every fucking orbit) then maybe it will be bearable.
It would suck to have to move all our rolls somewhere else when Inter has been so good to us :(
ya it s funny i ve kind of warmed to the software
i guess that s normal for any site... plus their supposed to be getting resizeable tables soon.
auto rebuy would be nice too
Just had my 1st losing session since making that post about being careful not to spew. I have to say, it's been a pretty awesome run.
I haven't gone robusto or anything, but I've managed to book a profit in something like 22 of 25 sessions, some small and some pretty decent-sized. It's been mainly at lowstakes since poker isn't my focus right now, but I have to say it's amazing what 3 elements have done for me :
-fear of losing, hence only playing when the games compel me to
-stakes that won't hurt even if I drop a few buyins (may seem counterproductive to above point, but minimizes tilt if things go bad)
-leaving my ego completely at the door
ok gonna have to regroup after back-to-back meh sessions. made my 1st all-out spew in quite a while, 4 betting small then snap-calling a shove pre w A9s in a spot with no history (wtf??!!).
just gotta keep it simple.
hmm was up 6k on tonight s session then lost 25 consecutive BI s at plo
ok that was kind of pointless but one of my bigger days just turned into my biggest loss ever so all i wanna say is
FUUUUUUUUUUCK
wtf stop loss imo?Quote:

haha i was at some GOLDEN late-night tables and was sitting with 3.9k euros at a 2-4 table and 400bb + stacks at 3 separate 1-2 tables (so actually maybe i was up way more than 6k??? fk me) then lightning struck and i lost 3 consecutive 300bb pots at the 2-4 table with the nuts all in pre or on the flop (the worst was losing JJxx to KK xx ai on J26r for 2.2k euro pot) and suddenly BAM it s all gone on the 2-4 table.
i tilt-left my other tables then as I was closing the software I forgot that I had 900 euros on ANOTHER 1-2 table and the biggest fish from the 2-4 table that had hit n run me decided to sit vs me.
1 hour later he left with a 1500bb stack. it wasn t pretty.
Shitty to hear you had a bad one yest too alex.
Oh well, I m working off of 25 for 28 winning sessions since I started back up in mid august. Last night hurt but time to get back at it and grind away bitches.
just reviewed that session mentally from last night and realized that I was up 7k euros at my high point, which makes it even sicker to think that I ended up down 5k euros, all at 1-2 and 2-4!!!
i haven t been so hellbent on winning it back in a looooong time so I think I ll post in this thread with updates for my next 4 or 5 session on how i m feeling, just to write shit down and ensure that i m not getting tilty in that WINITBACKNOW mentality.
not gonna move up instakes or anything (although it s pretty fkign tempting), just gonna try to stay with the simple, straightforward grind.
update coming in a few hours
update after day 1 of recovery :
just grinded about 4.5k hands and played pretty awesome. amazingly, biggest pot of the day was losing 1.1k euro PLO hand to a 1 outer but oh well, feel like I had my A game for a good portion of the huge grind.
Made back some of last night s losses so hopefully i m back on the runhot bandwagon. also was fun watching Rav go deep in 4 tourneys including a win in the 100$ rebuy on interpoker and final table (as we speak) of the stars 33$ rebuy as well as 11th in the 100$ rebuy.
Good job on the comeback dude! You should post some hands in the PLO section.Quote:

but
i m playing pretty fking well and not too worried. so i guess this is a win, not a fail. things will turn around.

i dropped 4k but I feel like I hit a new high point in my game.
the losses aren t really worth talking about but, just in case ppl care about hearing about grossness, today s sesh at 2-4 and 3-6 included losing :
AA to KQ ai pre in a blind war
JJ to 66 vs the same guy ai pre in a blind war
AK in a rr pot vs same villain AI on turn vs his 89 that called full pot on flop w gutter on K56 board and nutted turn
losing 400bb s with sets vs draws AI on flop
and biggest hand of the day was 3 betting the flop w 55 on 346dd board 2.6k euros deep at 3-6. villain calls and turn is offsuit 2
i pot it for 800 (1.3 buyins on turn lol) and villain snaps
riv is 6d completing flush and boat, villain insta shoves for 1.5k into 2.2k and I snap fold.
the regs were all laughing about me 12-tabling and challenging me to HU deathmatches... I m chatbanned for some reason so too bad I can t keep up the smacktalk.
Besides all of that, I finally feel like my confidence, hand-reading, tilt-control have come together so that I m willing to take on anybody at midstakes for as many hands as they want.
Just played a few tables of 5-10 euro (about 1.7k usd). late night games looked golden and I destroyed them :
http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/4904/510v.th.jpg
there were lots of bluff river shoves and value ownage.
i definitely felt like I had it coming after the way i ve run over the past 20k hands or so.
shipit. funny thin is only about 400 hands from that graph are 5-10 and the rest are 1-2...

grinded a few K hands early this morning and felt great. ran bad but made the maniez.
oh man... ppl are the hugest spazzjobs lol.
First AK hand, I think that is a horrible board to cbet, and you're almost never getting a fold and getting jammed a lot. You plan on b/c? River is... the kind of spazzy thing i'd do haha. Risky after his sizing though, I'd prob like it more if he bet less.
QJ hand - haha nice... I guess he had AJ or JT or something.
8Thh hand is weird - I mean you have direct odds to flat turn, but I suppose s hoving can't be bad if you actually do have FE, which apparently you do. Spazzzes.

Just played a little 1-2 to try out a new setup and got into a match vs a nitty, straightforward and pretty bad reg while the tables were filling up.
I somehow lost 7.2k in about 1100 hands.
Not sure what to say? To say it was mindblowing is an understatement. I don t have any tracking software on this computer but I had never known what it feels like to lose over 20 buyins in 1k hands. We were both playing very aggro and he just destroyed my 4 betting range in pos by calling with unsuited unconnected cards and flopping 2 pair.
It s probably just as well that I don t have the hands to look over. I d just waste time posting them here to rant and whine.
Gonna hit the tables hard tomorrow.
hit the tables hard indeed.
just finished an epic 5 hour straight marathon 13-tabling session. i think i came closer to playing perfect poker during this session than i ever have before. my control, patience and thinking were just spot on for the entire session.
somehow, i won 8 of 34 flips and lost another 4k playing nothing higher than 2-4 but jeezus did things ever feel easy.
lol 34 flips in one session.. oh man thats craziness! I'm jealous of how many hands you're getting in though, awesome. Keep up the perfect play!Quote:

oh ya tomorrow (wednesday) i m gunning for 5 ours of 9 tabling. i know this is standard for some, but it s still a big grind my standards. letmegogogogo
Just played a pretty amazing 5k hand session. mixed in everything from 1-2 to 5-10 and played v v v v solid. bad news is i had my biggest loss ever (8k ish) and it s a downer to end a pretty great month, but not much you can do.
strangest hand was getting it AI for 300bb's at 5-10 euro table w KJ vs 69dd on T97hh board in a 3-bet pot. villain 3-bet shoved flop over my raise. he s a reg at higher stakes and i still don t know what he was thinking?
somehow i blanked and lost the biggest pot of my life. i also ran like death all over the place and ran QQ into KK and AA vs the biggest fish at the table at 5-10 euro...
back at it tomorrow.
hh please?Quote:

Did you have KJhh?
i had straight up KJ no heart but there was a fish on the button 400bb s deep so I really really don t understand his squeeze since he s ALWAYS getting called 2 ways; i assumed he d be only doing it for straight up value vs the fish and expecting me to not get out of line so i figured i had tonnes of fold equity vs his overpair on such a terribly scary board. also i checked back the HH and we weren t as deep as i thought. my flop raise absolutely commited me to the hand and it was like a 410bb pot after we were both all in.
also just kind of vomited when i realized that my rakeback was paid during my session so i can tack another 5.6k onto my biggest loss ever (i think that brings last night s loss to 13.5k blehhhhh). i can t be angry at myself for anything really; i feel like I played great and i didn t tilt for 1 second of the 5 hour session. just annoying to lose so much in the last session of the month, even though that doesn t mean anything. this shit will happen sometimes as i move up to bigger games vs wild fish.
A bit of self-indulgent goal setting for October :
-grind 90 hours of good poker
-keep taking shots up to 10-20 when the games are good
-continue to play tilt-free
-win the rake race #3
-get HEM and HEM Omaha installed and start tracking things
-do some sweats w ppl like griffey
update for october imo
and post some fun hands, u never dissapoint
wtf i ve contacted HEM like 6 times about getting tracking software for new desktop and adding omaha tracker... so no fking HH.
i ve put in maybe 15 hours so far, up about 10k after some huge swongs in plo and some pretty meh 5-10 sessions. mainly been grinding 2-4 and winning buyins there.
i ve been trying to get in touch with a good tax lawyer to figure out a plan for this year but god is it ever tough.
alex we should def play some HU plo sometime.
can't you just purchase/upgrade > link
Or download it and get D. to give you his authorization number. It can be authorized for up to 3 pc's i think. I imagine he doesn't have the Omaha extension though so you'd still need to purchase that.
+ the Boss hh convertor in case you forgot the link.
thx for linky
i ve aleady purchased it... just annoying to never get a reply from support
suddenly VERY sick of the monotony of the grind. eterday i played a little bit higher up but even that didn t really get me going. i found mysel not really caring during tough spots and kind of going into auto-pilot bunch.
Gonna take a few days off and recharge the poker batteries, hopefully come back strong later next week.
i m in baden right now

geni ur such a baller i fkin love it

just about to pack and leave Baden. didn t play the donkament i was registered for today because i woke up too late. no regrets though, since it was a women-related incident and pretty much no donkament can compare to a fuckament.
alexos : the interpoker staff not only met but exceeded expectations for this promo. i don t need to go into details; use your imagination. we didn t even have Jesper with us and it blew my mind : mini-golf in the snow, clubbing at 5 am, gay bars where we least expected them... completely epic. Interpoker is easily the best small site in terms of support and promos in the world.
Back to the grind in about 30 hours after some epically boring and long and hungover travelling.
Can t complain.
p.s. V zero: as soon as I get HEM installed again I ll post some hands that hopefully won t disappoint. 2 days ago there was a pretty fun Q hi call for a 2.2k pot that I think you would have enjoyed.

Right now I'm kind of disappointed with myself. I just really, really don't feel like playing. I guess this comes down to a lack of discipline... The very idea of firing up some tables seems like pulling teeth.
There's always the thinking that if you take a break, you'll feel fresher and more focused when you come back but I really don't think it has much to do with that. I think it'll be just as hard later today, tomorrow, a week from now...
So what do I do? There are so many people who would love to be in my shoes, grinding good midstakes games for a nice winrate. This isn't much consolation. I think I just need to do some soul searching. Or maybe just sit my ass down and grind this shit.
Mustered up the discipline to play a session. Was just planning on playing low but the games were pretty good so I sat at a few 5-10 and 3-6 euro tables.
Ran like pure death (AK to AQ on Axx flop rr pot, AQ to KQ on Qxx in rr pot, 2 flopped sets vs draws... blahblahblah) but somehow made money on the sesh.
I felt like my edge was maaasssssive so I really hope I can find my nutsack, find my discipline and grind a decent amount over the next while. This kind of opportunity won't be around forever.
also found myself in a couple interesting spots so I posted a couple hands in the hihstakes forum.
Ran like pure death again yet made a little bit. Encouraging.
Very encouraging. I always think the days the cards hate you that just not losing too much is a victory, to actually come out ahead is a fantastic result.
Stick with it.
I think I played my best session ever tonight.
Lost my biggest pot ever (6.2k) getting it in w nut flush vs 888 on A872ccc board w KJcc and despite that made some. It's one of the first times ever where I feel like I combined my hyper aggro game with just the right big folds and nittiness in a few select spots.
Just finishing up a late-night session where I played awesome.
I was about to quit after owning some regs at 10-20 but I saw a fish at plo 2-4
He s now sitting with 1000bb s :(
Highlight was him calling off 240bb's pre w A429 single suited vs my dbl suited aces and flopping the nuts w 100bb s behind.
Another beauty was getting it in for 600bb s w KQJ9 on AT8 rainbow vs his 6792...
and just to pour salt in the wound, I just accidentally drank my own piss.
again.
Note to self: never get to the point where I have to pee in a bottle to keep playing...Quote:

I never understood why a cash gem player would need to resort to the bottle trick. I get that maybe Toruney donks could get to that need. Personally, accidentally drinking my own piss is enough of a reason to let myself time out for one or two tables.
How far is the bathroom anyway?
Imagine everything you wanted, came.. in.. a.. URINE CAN!!!

id say drinking your own piss is more tilting :PQuote:

they ll turn around, it s just boring and frustrating building back after a day like this when JJ can never hold vs AJo in 5 bet-shoved pre hands HU vs regs.
i have a sort of primal rage bent up after last night, as if I had been struck by a truck and I want to go find the truck and beat it up.

I also lost mountains of money at plo... just playing plo w sets losing, 2nd nut flushes in rr pots losing to flopped nuts, etc...
nothing really interesting, at least 3 spews (cpl of questionable plays), a few beautiful nl coolers and just random shit like c betting w AK on 862 w BD flushdaw, getting called by a whale, turn 9 giving my overs and FD, i pot he calls, riv A I pot shove he snaps w A9o...
oh well at least I can track shit now
