Infamous 2 lots of fun, yay! Will be picking up something in the God of War series next, thanks for the recos.
Look at me, filling in the gap in time poker left (yeah, I can play as a Canadian but the lustre is gone).
i think I'll get Skyrim if anyone has a semi-good black fri deal
Prolly pick up the metal gear solid hd collection sometime too
Skyrim is incredible. My guy is a motherfucking werewolf.
Lynch a500lbgorilla.
confirmed skyrim is amazing - ima dark elf wizard
Looks amazing. Seems dragony. Fighting the dragons over and over doesn't get old?
In games, my work life and women, I hate Bosses.
Have played like 15ish hours of Skyrim. Havent done a single main quest lolz.
Going to baff mah brains out tonight and do some work tho.
Prior to updating yer xboxes, have a read:

anyone else suck at being a werewolf? cool concept, execution seems meh. why does it have to be 3rd person view? You can't use stuff as a wolf, but then when you change back you still have your stuff?
Assuming I can change back at some point I will.
yeah I haven't used werewolf much since my guy has basically developed into a battlemage. It boosts the two stats that I don't focus on. Plus I went with smithing+enchanting so my armor is pretty awesome with like +100 magick, +150% magick regen, +50% res to all 3 types, +60% magic res and a lord stone which is +20% res to all types of damage.
Most of my battles involve conjuring atronachs and then figuring out how I fit in around them.
Dammit, I want this game
begin mage so annoying on xbox so switched to assassssiinnnnn, im pretty boss
anyone played/playing Zelda Skyward Sword? I haven't played a Zelda game since OoT back on the N64, but i cant wait to get my hands on this game!
So I finally completed red dead redemption (aside from the revenge bit I'm gonna get round to). Was really depressing. I often find I'm left feeling hollow and alone at the end of a good long game, but what with dying and all, I feel too depressed to btoher with the revenge mission.

I would def get it. I miss this game now it's gone.
Game was great, story line was good, characters were interesting and action was fun if a little too easy at times. There's lots of side quests which are entertaining enough and hunting is pretty cool in its own right.
I was bitching about the ending, but it was actually a really good ending, just a little depressing. I would def recommend it as long as you like both cowboy movies (or at least the genre anyway) and free roam 3rd person shooters. For sure I now prefer riding a horse to driving a car.
".......Remmber, you're a fucking badass, you are the one that killed bambi's mother, skin that bitch!......."
lolololololo
just picked up skyrim yesterday, pretty cool game so far and am blown away by how beautiful the game looks, don't have much to add other than i'm nearly certain i'm messing up all my skill builds and will almost certainly restart once/if i ever figure out what i'm doing.
kill the fucking waaaalrrroooos, nobody wants to be a fucking waaaalrrrroooosss
This, and it genuinely worries me.
I'm now 4 hrs or so in and have no idea what I'm doing but am dreading the thought of redoing it all. I think I might stop and read a guide on the net to get some idea but I don't wanna spoil the game either and it can be tough to get a good balance.
I'm sure you're fine, which stone did you pick and what have you done?
I didn't consider this
In the older Elder Scrolls games, a boon like this would actually turn out to be something of a burden due to the obtuse leveling up system. In this game though, they’re definitely something you will want to use. You may want to consider not actually assigning it to the skills that you spend most of your time using, instead assigning it to one you use a bit less. If you’re playing a fighter who uses magic occasionally then activating the mage stone will help your magic improve fast enough that it will stay effective throughout the game.
no reason at all to worry about gimping yourself
I just went wandering around and got lol-gang-destroyed by the forsworn. Their ravangers with dual weapons can kill me in like 4 whacks and my armor lvl is like 1000 with a shield, 900 without. Light armor. Dragons can't even hurt me and dragr deathlords only have a lot of health, but the forsworn are vicious.
Does anyone know which spell ice mages cast on you, they're ice spikes-like, that slow you down when you get nailed? Im pretty sure I have all the ice spells but none of them seem to have the same affect on others.

and i promise i will stop linking them now
rilla, frostbolt?
did no one like my skyrim memes?
So I did exactly what I knew I would. Spent maybe 10 hrs playing and now want a different character. I've leveled up loads on 2 handed weapons and smithing and now want a 1 handed weapon character but can't bare the thought of having wasted all those level ups. I'm restarting tonight.
Also, I strongly suggest not getting thus game if you have kids, they seriously get in the way of game time and then I feel guilty for preferring playing skyrim to playing with them. Fml.
I haven't got into Skyrim yet, but I'm that way on every RPG. My first character is sort of a test to get familiar with a game, then I start over with my first "real" character.
Same.
I made a dark elf first time in, got bored w/ him after getting ~3 hours into game.
Made my BADASS VIKING character for the funs.
Main character is going to be Wood Elf on Master difficulty. Archery, one handed, some restoration. GAME ON YO
Jesus fucking Christ it's a long walk from whiterun to high hrothgar
Do any of the archery perks make the arrow travel faster? I'm Shit at judging the lag. I imagined a sniper rifle but all I got was a stick and some string.
there are a couple that slow time while you are zoomed in, first one slows 25%, around 50 or 60 skill IIRC. have not purchased yet though, i just shoot people who aren't moving.
The slow mo is pretty cool, but even so, if someones moving, eg a giant while I'm hiding on a rock, I only hit with about 1 in 3 shots.
Just gotta work on leading them. I was shit at first as well, but eventually you understand the flight mechanics and you get pretty accurate. I'm still not that good at it, but im probably hitting at ~25-35%. One of my buddies is fucking ridiculous w/ a bow on that game. Fucker never misses.
Started a new one last night and ended up playing for 6 hours. Am doing the Wood Elf archery/one handed/thief thing on master and omgggggggg finally got addicted to the game. I've been spitting and sputtering trying to get into and last night the switch flipped. Plan on having no life for a while now.
The fight with the first dragon is fucking AWWWWWEEESSSSOMMMMEEEEE
I'm about 10 hrs in as a redsominorother fella, focusing on 1hand, archery & light armour so far. Only downside I can see to having a character heavily based on fighting as opposed to magic/sneaking is all I seem to do is create weapons non-stop to up my smithing. I'm on like 85 smimthing now so can get the glass armour, but now I need the two different and somewhat scarce metals to make it, so I'm now running around looking for them, so in 10 hrs I've done maybe 3 main quest missions and say 4 mini side quests and 2 bigger side quest missions. I'm basicly playing a blacksmith game where I occassionally get in a fight.
Nothing wrong w/ that.
I'm a sneak so I've spent a lot of time (after the Bleak Falls Barrow and Dragon Fight) just sneaking around in the wilderness sniping bandits and bears and shit and collecting a bunch of herbs. I just sell those, don't really get into the alchemy thang. Jacks up a bunch of stats I'll be using a lot of, Archery, Sneak, Light Armor, One-Handed.
Been playing a bunch of Arkham city lately. Really enjoying the world. I think they rushed it a little bit but the fighting is epic. There's nothing like swinging in the rafters and eliminating bad guys 1 by 1
Any starwars nerds? The Old Republic has been sucking the life out of me lately.
And ya, arkham city was amazing. The story felt very true to what you'd see in the animated series or comics, and the boss fights were a bit better. Catwoman's story/gameplay was suuuppperr lame though :(

started playing red dead. I think I'm getting old cuz I just wanna settle down with that rancher bitch and herd some cows. Maybe start a family and lead a more simple life.
are you/ have you ever been/ a hardcore mmo'er
and/or a competant healer?
plz to write review on SWTOR if so please.
edit: i has never been a competent tank or melee dips and tbh i'm pretty sick of the ranged dips, sick at it as i may be, and i always found healing fun despite leveling a healer to be a pain in the ass and this would be the time to do it while i can still find groups to just power through it
Just rediscovered the awesomeness that is Halo online and omggggggg spent roughly 14 hours playing it at my buddy's apartment this weekend.
Im neither...but...
Before you leave the starting area, everyone gets a companion thats decent. They serve the role of either tank/dps/healer depending on your class, and u can give them gear and stuff. Because of this, healers and tanks (im told) are easier to level than other mmo's...and dps's die less to the tough guys.
In addition, pvp is whenver u want (or on pvp dedicated servers even)...and group missions are very frequent.
Also voice acting
ranged dips, melee dips? wat?
dps verbalized
