Why do I have almost identical stats to Cocco_Bill and my winrate is only 3bb/100? Is it because I can't read souls?
I searched some of your posts and noticed that you play 5-max on the Ongame network. Its a different game so you can not have identical stats.Quote:

I was not comparing myself to you, I'm just in awe of your longterm successrate.
Can someone just teach me how to post my graphs using image shack so that they post this large?
cocobill you should start a blog at www.wordpress.com if you haven't, and post it in your signature like mine (not a shameless plug I swear, I suck, he doesn't)
... wow. So which site do you play on again?Quote:

I am so jealous, and inspired, at the same time!
Congratulations!
Villain mucked, what did he have / what did you put him on?

Don't ever think this. You haven't come across this way once, and may be the most open FTR high stakes player here. You have served as an inspiration to most of us that have bookmarked this thread for a long time. I for one would give almost anything I had for more results like yours.Quote:

I would manually sever a testicle if it meant I could do that.
Bill, seriously, how the fuck do you do soooooo well from the blinds?
About the soft games on Prima, yes the midstakes games have been soft over the last year or so, but they've been getting tougher lately especially since Bet365 left the network. Nowadays I am struggling to find 6 soft tables over a large variety of stakes, I never had that problem before. My plan is to once again start mixing sites(prob Prima, Ipoker, Ongame and perhaps Boss) which is almost necessary if I want to keep increasing the average stakes i play. We have some others here on FTR who play on Prima, I don't know if they agree?Quote:

If anyone cares I am 'shock' running bad lately. AA AK and AQ are in the red this month.

Yeah, I agree. I've been playing ipoker+prima+party but I think I'm gonna drop prima. Especially since moving down to 400NL only (when I used to multilevel 4/5/600NL) I've found that there just aren't enough tables going most of the time. Of course there are still huge fishies there now and then, but lately I've been finding myself sitting on 90% ipoker tables and 10% Party. If the unmentionable hadn't gone away it'd probably be at least 50/50, but as it is I think it's gonna be tough to make up for the ~30% difference in rake.Quote:

pokersitescout.com would do that right??
I think Prima has gone fairly tough and tables keeping breaking up so much for me that i get pissed off after spending time doing table selection
Id agre that Prima midstakes have got very tough recently, or have been getting increasingly more difficult for the last 6 months,
I pwned 1/2nl+ last summer but havent really made much since then and dont like the rb deals either
(halvsame, the unmentionable does exist, mention it on 2p2)
Having said that, i-poker is going that way also, but from what i have seen the 1/2 2/4 regs are still nitty but overall poor even though most are rb pros playing 15/11 and crap.
I must admit i havent done well on party at 1/2nl and beyond have thus stayed away, rakeback not being available also sucks  and refuse to touch stars or ftp.
So mostly ive been at AP (obviously much more soft after all the recent incidents but still perhaps not 'kosher') Bodog which is still soft at 2/3 (id love to try 3/6nl 5/10nl on there) ongame which is soft until 3/6 where i here the games get tough and boss where coco will probably confirm the games are really good.
I think even for euros, you need 4k or so on lots of sites to find good games
Bill, I think it would be pretty awesome if you posted a few hands and analyses for us in which you

Huge heater for the last few days! I really need to start playing more sites to be able to multitable 2000nl with some good table selection. I am quite confident that I have a slight edge in those games and playing tougher competition should help me to develop as a pokerplayer.
Am I still a nit? I've been playing around 22/15/2 over the last few months, compare that to the first post in this thread and you will see that the difference is huge.

oh stop it
I still don't see how you can be so unaggro and win as much as you do.
yeah, bill, and whats up with the breakeven stretch from hands 3000 to 6000? you getting coolered there? or did you just turn off your "soul reader" software?
lol, nice as always.
i don't get it either.. it looks like the graph of a pre bill $50 NL good TAGG at a really fishy site...
was was the biggest downswing you ever went through bill?
lol. he couldnt find a downswing if you paid him to. {sarcasm}
I just looked at this again, how the fuck do you win money? I am absolutely baffled, seriously i'd pay money to see a video.
I'm in for $ for a vid.
We should get a pot going. Everybody who wants a vid donates a fixed amount. Then Bill makes it and we get it via PM or something. I'm down for any amount of $$, and we should all pay the same.
Obviously only if Bill's down for it.
Cocco is European so unlike Americans he can actually table select really well. I can certainly believe that you can make good money with stats like his. But I truly believe that he is reading well.Quote:

oh and lol why would bill make a vid with the amount he is making
Some random thoughts
1) My winrate has dropped to about 4,5 ptbb/100 since returning to Thailand in September compared to my 6ptbb/100 longterm winrate. Reason is that games are getting harder and I'm playing higher on average.
2) I have absolutely nothing to prove in a video, there is nothing to see, I just play as solid as i can against the worst opponents I can find at many different stakes. There are already videos of better players available on cardrunners etc.
3) I am running good in the bigger games.
4) I only play 5/10+ when there is at least one fish at the table.
5) Pantherhound, good TAGGs don't play 50nl and never did unless they were on their way to swiftly move up.
6) I personally know many pokerplayers with similar winrates and similar earnings playing mid-stakes NL. My style may be slightly different, but other than that my results are nothing spectacular.
7) Somewhat 'passive' play may be required to exploit overaggressive opponents which there are a lot of in mid/high stakes euro games. By passive I mean a higher frequency of check/raising and calling down vs betfolding.
8) One of the very best online players Phil Galfond(Jman on 2+2) says that he runs a 2,4 agg factor in 6max no-limit.
where do you get those graphs? ive looked all over and cant find it, although i seem to remember seeing a "poker grapher" somewhere....

Yea the more I try to get my aggression higher, the more I wish I could find a style of play that would allow me to play my stats profitably. I am more in the 3.5/1.7/1.2 AF range myself. Every time I try getting more aggro on later streets, I run into a brick wall. I don't have the soul reading ability yet like cocco-bill, but it is where I am trying to improve the most.
What you say about playing against the over aggro opponents may be a bigger problem for me too. It may be a matter of me having to play against more aggro players and not looking for those loose passive tables. Something for me to try. What are some of the things you look for in a table Cocco-bill? What do you consider "fish" with your "somewhat passive" style? Do you consider players with high aggression factors and larger preflop numbers (29/25/3.8) "fish"?
Its really hard to say, but generally speaking I'm probably taking money from most playing looser than say 30/20/x and also from players playing a style like 18/16/6+ over large samples, the latter I will just be check raise bluffing at such a high frequency mixed with doing it for value that he will either have to tone down his aggression factor or probably leak money to me slowly.Quote:

That's sick. Figure they had the flush or boat? Obv doesn't really matter. Nice!
have you ever had a downswing?
wow sick hand!
Does hands 0-3200 not qualify as a downswing?!Quote:

He mucked his hand. He was a bit of a fish, but probably not bad enough to call that huge push with the A high flush with that action on a paired board, he should know that i would never push the K high flush after getting raised on the river on a four flush board. He probably caught a full house, unlucky for him.Quote:

Since this is like a blog and a diary of mine, I like to keep track of some milestones in my poker career, so that I can easily overview progress later in life(I hope this forum will never disappears and this thread won't get deleted).
I have now officially broken the $500k bankroll mark! :D :)
Partly thanks to having most of my roll in swedish crowns and euros and the weakening dollar.
Never thought I would reach this milestone just a few years ago.
Thanks FTR, without this site I probably would have never become a winning player to start with, it was my only recourse for a long time, I didn't even know about 2+2 or other forums.
u r an inspiration
awesome. just awesome cocco.

wow. $500k!
